초등교사 및 예비 초등교사가 인식하는 실과 생명과학 내용에 대한 교육요구도 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 초등교사 및 예비 초등교사가 인식하는 2011 개정 실과 교육과정의 생명과학 내용에 대한 교육요구도를 분석하는데 그 목적으로 두고 있다. 이를 위해서 2011 개정 실과 교육과정의 농 업생명 내용별 필요수준, 현재수준을 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 보리치(Borich) 공식과 허쉬코비츠 (Hershkowitz)의 임계 함수를 활용하여 교육요구도 및 우선순위를 분석하였다. 이를 통한 주요한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등교사 및 예비 초등교사 모두 2011 개정 실과 교육과정에 제시된 농업생명 영역의 내용 에 대한 현재 자신 수준은 보통(3점) 수준 이상으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 초등교 사 및 예비 초등교사 모두에서 ‘경제동물 기르기와 이용’이 가장 낮았는데 이는 실습 자체가 곤란하 다 점과 교사 자신의 생명과학 영역에 대한 경험이 부족에서 기인한 것으로 추론할 수 있다. 둘째, 2011 개정 실과 교육과정의 농업생명 영역의 내용에 대한 향후 필요 정도에 대해 초등교사는 3.89 로, 예비 초등교사는 3.70으로 높음(4점) 보다 약간 낮은 수준으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 초등학교 교사는 ‘식물’과 관련된 내용에 대한 능력 신장을, 예비 초등교사는 ‘식물, 체험’ 등 과 관련된 내용에 대한 능력 신장을 요구하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 보리치 공식을 통한 교육요구 도와 허쉬코비츠의 임계 함수를 통한 우선순위 선정 결과를 종합하면, 초등교사는 ‘농축산물의 생산, 이용과 환경’, ‘친환경 농축산물 체험’, ‘식물을 가꾸는 방법과 과정’, ‘애완동물 돌보기’, ‘경제동물 기르기와 이용’을, 예비 초등교사는 ‘식물의 종류와 이용’, ‘농축산물의 생산, 이용과 환경’, ‘친환경 농축산물 체험’, ‘식물을 가꾸는 방법과 과정’, ‘경제동물 기르기와 이용’ 등이 우선적으로 신장될 필 요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study was to analyze the educational needs of teachers toward the life science area in the Practical Arts subject based on the 2011 revised Practical Arts curriculum. To achieve the purpose of the study, the in-service and the pre-service teachers’ level of necessity and level of awareness on contents of the life science in the Practical Arts education. The data collected by the questionnaires were analyzed using the Borich Need Assessment Model and Hershkowitz Threshold Function. The results of the study were as follows. First, those in-service and pre-service teachers perceived their level of awareness on contents of the life science in the Practical Arts education as ‘above the average.’ Secondly, those in-service and pre-service teachers perceived their level of necessity on contents of the life science in the Practical Arts education as 3.89 and 3.70 respectively, which means they perceived high enough on the level of necessity on the contents of the life science in the Practical Arts education. Third, the order of priority of the preservice teachers, determined based on calculating the Borich Need Assessment Model and Hershkowitz Threshold Function in the study, was in the followings : ‘producing, utilizing, and environment of the agricultural and livestock products’, ‘experiencing the environment-friendly agricultural and live stock products’, ‘methods and process of cultivating plants’ and so on, while the order of priority of the preservice teachers was in the followings : ‘sorts and utilizing the plants’, ‘producing, utilizing, and environment of the agricultural and livestock products’, ‘experiencing the environment-friendly agricultural and live stock products’ and so on.
