국문 초록

본 연구는 지역사회 공공 여가시설의 접근 편리성과 사회적 지원이 어머니의 양육스트레스에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 육아정책연구소의 한국아동패널데이터(Panel Study on Korean Children, PSKC) 13차년도(2020년) 초등학교 6학년 자녀를 둔 1,296명의 어머니를 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지역사회 공공 여가시설의 접근 편리성을 높게 인식할수록 어머니의 학부모역할 스트레스와 부모생활 양육스트레스 수준이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 사회적 지원 지각수준이 높을수록 학부모역할 스트레스와 부모생활 양육스트레스 수준이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 정서적 지원의 영향력이 가장 크게 나타나 자녀양육에서 친밀감, 신뢰 등을 가장 우선적으로 지원해 주는 것이 양육스트레스를 감소시킬 수 있는 중요한 요인임이 검증되었다. 본 연구는 지역사회의 여가시설 접근 편리성을 높이고, 다양한 사회적 지원 강화를 통해 초등학교 고학년 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육스트레스를 감소시킬 수 있음을 검증하였다. 이는 사회적으로 여가시설 접근 편리성의 중요성을 확인하였으며, 양육스트레스 감소를 위한 사회관계 지원을 통한 개입의 중요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the impact of accessibility to public leisure facilities and social support on mothers' parenting stress. An analysis was conducted on 1,296 mothers of 6th-grade children in the 13th wave (2020) of the Panel Study on Korean Children (PSKC). The results are as follows: First, the higher the accessibility to public leisure facilities in the community, the lower the stress related to the mother's parental role and overall parenting stress. Second, it was found that the higher the level of social support for the mother, the less stress related to their parental role and overall parenting stress. In particular, emotional support was proved to be the most influential, and it was verified that providing intimacy and trust first for raising children is an important factor that can reduce parenting stress. The findings of this study validate that enhancing accessibility to community leisure facilities and strengthening various social supports can reduce parenting stress for mothers with upper-grade elementary school children. This confirms the social importance of leisure support and suggests the significance of interventions through social relationship support to reduce parenting stress.
