국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 한국의 현대적 자원봉사활동의 역사를 연도 구간별로 고찰하여 한국 자원봉사의 경험적 특성을 제시하고, 이를 토대로 자원봉사 활성화를 위한 대안을 모색하는데 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 그동안 각 단체 및 조직별로 발간되었던 역사기록물 및 백서자료들을 검토 및 재정리하고, 기존의 행정자료들을 포함하여 연구를 진행하였다. 우선 현재 발간된 역사기록물이 갖고 있는 문제점을 보완하고, 자원봉사의 역사를 총괄적으로 살펴보기 위하여 연도 구간별로 활동 사항을 기술하였다. 또한 연도별 속에 특징적으로 나타나고 있는 정책과 조직들을 중심으로 역사를 분석하였으며, 마지막으로 한국 자원봉사의 역사에 대한 경험적 특성을 관변형, 시민사회형, 자선형, 봉사학습형으로 구조화하여 기술하였다. 이러한 고찰과정을 통해 현재 한국의 자원봉사의 문제점 지적하면서 미래의 나아갈 방향을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to present the characteristics of empirical volunteering in Korea by examining the history of modern volunteering of year and section. And based on this, we are looking for alternatives to activate volunteering. In order to achieve this research purpose, historical records and white papers published by each group and organization have been reviewed and rearranged, conducted including existing administrative data. First of all, in order to supplement the problems of the currently published historical records and to examine the history of volunteering as a whole, activities by year and section were described. In addition, the history was rearranged focusing on the policies and organizations that are characteristically appearing in each year. Lastly, the empirical characteristics of the history of volunteering in Korea were structured and described in the form of government, civil society, charity, and service-learning. Through this review process, the current problems of volunteering in Korea were pointed out and the future direction was sought.
