국문 초록

미 의회 예산국(CBO: Congressional Budget Office)은 현재 행정부에서 검토중인 해외 주둔 미군기지 배배치 검토 (일명 GPR) 와는 별개로 미 육군을 중심으로 한국과 독일 주둔군을 대상으로 재배치 방안을 검토하고 있음. CBO의 검토는 해외주둔 병력을 현 수준에서 유지하는 방안, 해외 주돈병력 반으로 감축, 해외주둔 미군기지의 전면폐쇄(Remove)하는 방안을 가지고 7개의 세부대안을 검토하고 있음. 이것을 의회차원에서 해외주돈 미군의 기지와 규모를 검토하고 특히 한국과 유럽(독일)주둔 병력을 검토하고 있다는 점이 주목을 요함
