이중언어환경이 운율발달에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 이중언어환경 아동들의 운율발달 기초 연구로써 단일언어환경 아동들의 운율 특성을 비교하고, 운율 발달이 환경적, 연령별로 어떻게 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 구체적으로 알아보기 위해 대구지역에 거주하는 이중언어환경 아동 16명과 단일언어환경 아동 16명, 총 32명을 대상으로 운율 특성인 음도 및 강도의 특성을 살펴보고, 전체발화의 음도 곡선과 마지막 음절의 억양 패턴 등을 분석하였다. 수집된 자료는 Praat을 통해 분석하였고 연령과 환경별 차이를 알아보기 위하여 이원변량분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이중언어환경 아동과 단일언어환경 아동의 전체 발화 음도 곡선 패턴의 차이를 분석한 결과, 18개월에서는 두 집단 모두 다양한 음도 곡선을 보이다가 24개월과 36개월에서는 공통된 음도 곡선 패턴을 나타내었다. 둘째, 이중언어환경 아동과 단일언어환경 아동의 마지막 음절의 억양패턴을 분석한 결과, 연령이 증가할수록 두 집단 모두 L%와 H%의 형태로 정착하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 이중언어환경 아동집단과 단일언어환경 아동집단의 운율 특성을 비교해본 결과, 이중언어환경 아동이 단일언어환경 아동에 비해 연령이 증가할수록 다양한 억양의 변화를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 이중언어환경과 단일언어환경 간 운율특성을 비교한 결과 유의미한 차이가 없었으나, 연령별 운율에서는 유의미한 차이가 보였고 환경과 연령간의 상호작용은 없었다.

영문 초록

This study tried to make the clue by looking into how it can affect according to environment and age compared with children placed in single language as a basis study on prosody development of children placed in bilingual environment. Comparison subjects consist of 16 children in bilingual environment and 16 children in single language environment, total 32 people residing in Daegu province. This study made an analysis of tone curve of total detonation, intonation pattern of last syllable and so on. after looking into prosody quality such as pitch and intensity. Collected data were analyzed by Praat and dual changed amount analysis was enforced to look into difference according to environment and age. The result of this study is as follows. At first, as a result of difference analysis on tone curve of total detonation between children in bilingual environment and ones in single language, at the point of 18months, both of them showed up various tone curve, but in 24 and 36months, common tone curves were emerged. Secondly, as a result of intonation pattern analysis of last syllable between children in bilingual environment and ones in single language environment, both of them showed up stabilization by L% and H% as it was getting older. Thirdly, we can see that as result of comparison of prosody quality between children in bilingual environment and ones in single language environment, children in bilingual environment have different intonation change compared to the other as it is getting older. Fourthly, as a result of analysis on prosody qualities according to composed item on communication functions between children in bilingual environment and ones in single language environment have a difference according to age, it was not meaningful statistically.
