영문 초록

This study aims to understand the existence of children in the paintings of Lee Jung-seop (李仲燮, 1916-1956). For this research purpose, based on the research method of phenomenology, to understand how Lee Jung-seop’s consciousness, which was incarnated and embodied through the children’s motif in Lee Jung-seop’s works, signified children, and what the nature of children’s existence, which is the combination of those meanings, is. did As a result of the study, children appearing in Lee Jung-seop’s paintings are beings who pursue freedom through play, feel happiness while building a bond with nature, and enjoy having a relationship with the world through curiosity and imagination.
