영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore the main discussions related to an overseas language program in South Korea by keyword network analysis of web data from 2018 to 2021. Keyword frequency, keyword centrality, and ego network analysis were conducted to examine 1) the main keywords of the overseas language program network before and after the COVID-19, and 2) the characteristics of each ego network of the main keywords before and after the COVID-19. As a result of keyword network analysis of 7,971 collected web documents, overseas, university, English, study-abroad, ranked among the top 25 in the frequency analysis, degree and betweenness centrality analysis. Network size, density, average degree, mean distance, and community centrality for the focal keyword were presented in ego network analysis. Analysis of ego networks showed that since COVID-19, overseas, English, study-abroad networks have decreased in size, while university and job recruiment have grown in size. In addition, the analysis showed that the influence of job recruiment node was large and in an advantageous position in the ego network constructing after COVID-19. Limitations and implications of the study are presented. (185 words)
