국문 초록

예방교육은 성 요한 보스코(돈 보스코)가 창안한 독특한 교육체계로서 그 효과와 가치를 인정받아왔다. 그동안 한국 살레시오 가족은 예방교육을 체계적으로 정리하고 문서화하여 한국 사회의 다양한 영역에 소개하는 작업에는 다소 무관심했던 것으로 보인다. 나는 돈 보스코의 예방교육이 가난하고 소외된 청소년들을 보살피는 영역에서만 회자되고 활용되는 상황을 안타깝게 생각한다. 왜냐하면 예방교육은 하나의 교육 체계일 뿐만 아니라, 보편교회가 성인으로 인정한 돈 보스코의 삶 전체를 뜻하기 때문이다. 나는 이러한 문제의식을 바탕으로 돈 보스코의 예방교육이 청소년 사목을 넘어 천주교회 전반에 확장‧적용될 수 있는 가능성을 모색해보려고 한다. 이 논문은 최근 교회 안에서 자주 회자되고 있는 시노달리타스(synodalitas)와 예방교육의 관계에 주목한다. 예방교육은 이성, 종교, 감응하는 사랑(amorevolezza)을 특징으로 한다. 나는 예방교육이 시노달리타스를 신자들에게 올바로 이해시키고, 또 교회 안에서 그것을 구체적으로 실현할 수 있는 방법 혹은 영감을 불러일으킬 수 있다고 생각한다. 이에 이 논문은 예방교육의 세 기둥인 이성, 종교, 감응하는 사랑을 통해 시노달리타스의 구체적인 내용을 재해석했다. 이로써 예방교육이 시노달리타스를 향한 교회 쇄신의 구체적인 실천 모델이 될 수 있음을 보여줬다.

영문 초록

The preventive education is a unique educational system invented by St. John Bosco(Don Bosco). It has been recognized for its effectiveness and value. However, the Salesian family in Korea seems to have been somewhat indifferent to the work of systematically organizing and documenting preventive education and introducing it to various areas of Korean society. I regret the situation in which Don Bosco s preventive education is only talked about and utilized in the area of caring for poor and marginalized youth. This is because preventive education is not only an educational system, but also means the entire life of Don Bosco, which is recognized by the Universal Church as a saint. Based on this awareness, I would like to explore the possibility that Don Bosco s preventive education can be expanded and applied to the entire Catholic Church beyond youth ministry. This paper focuses on the relationship between Synodality(Synodalitas), which has been frequently talked about in Churches recently, and preventive education. The preventive education is characterized by reason, religion, and responsive love (amorevolezza). And I think this can correctly understand synodality to believers and inspire them to realize it in detail in the Church. So this paper interpreted the details of synodality through reason, religion, and responsive love, which are the three pillars of preventive education. This has shown that preventive education can be a concrete practice model for Church renewal toward synodality.
