영문 초록

This paper will explore the legal regulations of pardon in Mongolia. Specifically, it examines their historical development, theoretical background, and the pardon procedure. Moreover, this research investigates pardon from an international perspective by comparing the relevant regulations in granting pardons in Mongolia to those of other countries. Additionally, by assessing the current pardon system in Mongolia, the author provides suggestions for improving the legal regulations of pardon. Abolishing the current presidential pardon law and adopting a special law that will regulate the procedure as well as amending the criminal code of Mongolia in the aspects of the rights to be applied to pardons, commutation, and remission of sentences are included.
