국문 초록

이 연구는 통일교육의 이념을 정립해 보고자 하는 것에 연구목적을 두고 진행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 통일교육은 민족 민주 평화의 세 가지 가치를 중요시해왔으며, 이는 통일교육의 3대 영역별 교육을 이끌어가는 이념이라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 통일교육이 통일지향적인 가치와 태도 함양, 통일의식 함양을 목표로 하는 교육이라는 점에서 통일교육의 기본이념 핵심이념은 통일의식 형성, 통일인 양성으로 정립할 필요가 있다. 즉 통일교육이념은 통일의식함양을 기본이념 핵심이념으로 하며, 이를 떠받치는 주요 영역별 교육이념으로는 민족 민주 평화의 3대 이념을 들 수 있다. 둘째, 통일교육의 기본이념인 통일(의식 함양)의 이념과 영역별 이념인 민족 민주 평화의 이념의 상호관계는 다음과 같다. 민족, 통일 무용론 내지는 폐기론은 민족주의에 대한 일면적 이해의 문제, 저항 민족주의로서 한반도 민족주의의 특성을 간과 한 점 등에서 재고되어야 하며, 민족주의는 통일을 지향한다는 점, 민족적 리비도의 부활과정이 통일이라는 점에서 중요한 이념적 자원이다. 한반도의 가장 근본적인 폭력의 원인, 비평화적 현상의 근원이 분단이라고 하였을 때, 통일은 평화의 실현과정 그 자체이며, 통일과 평화는 함께 하는 하나의 여정임을 인식할 필요가 있다. 통일과 민주의 이념 역시 상호보완적 관계에 있다. 셋째, 통일교육이념은 각각의 교육을 이끄는 지도원리이자 지도이념이다. 기본이념인 통일(의식함양)의 이념은 통일형성교육을, 영역별 이념인 민족 민주 평화의 이념은 각각 통일을 위한 민족교육, 통일을 위한 민주시민교육, 통일을 위한 평화교육 을 이끌어가는 지도이념이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to establish the ideology of unification education. The results of the study are as follows. First, unification education has valued the three values of national democratic peace, which is an ideology that leads to education in the three major areas of unification education. However, given that unification education is aimed at fostering unification-oriented values and attitudes, and cultivating unification awareness, the core concepts of unification education need to be established as forming a sense of unification and fostering unification people. In other words, the concept of unification education is the core ideology of unification, and the three major ideologies of national democratic peace are the major educational ideologies that support it. Second, the interrelationship between the ideology of unification (cultivating consciousness), which is the basic ideology of unification education, and the ideology of nation, democracy and peace, which is the ideology of each area, is as follows. Nationalism, unification uselessness should be reconsidered in terms of the issue of a one-sided understanding of nationalism, the neglect of the characteristics of Korean nationalism as resistance nationalism, and the revival process of national libido. When the most fundamental cause of violence on the Korean Peninsula and the source of non-peaceful phenomena are division, it is necessary to recognize that unification is a process of realizing peace itself, and unification and peace are a journey together. The ideology of unification and democracy is also complementary. Third, the idea of unification education is the guiding principle and guiding ideology of each education. The basic ideology of unification is unification education, and the ideology of nation, democracy and peace, which is the ideology of national unification, democratic civic education for unification, and peace education for unification.
