영문 초록

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to find the variables affecting the burnout of married female social workers in Korea and China. For this purpose, this study investigated a general tendency of burnout and examined differences in a general tendency of burnout between two countries at first. Secondly, this study attempted to analyze the relevant variables on burnout, then submit proposals to reduce their burnout. Method: To achieve this, 287 data were collected from married female social workers by using a self-reporting questionnaire survey in Gwangju, Korea and Qingdao, China. Results: the general tendency of its relative variables and group difference showed lower scores than a median in two countries. According to group difference, Chinese group showed a lower mean score in burnout than Korean group. The number of children and subjective economic level showed significant effect on the burnout only in Korean group. Social support, work-family conflict have a significant effect on the burnout in two countries. Conclusions: The result of this study is expected to be used as basic materials for improving welfare policies of women social workers. It is also expected to provide basic data to understand the universality and specificity of burnout by comparing the outcomes between two countries.
