국문 초록

본 연구는 북한이탈주민의 가족관계 증진을 위한 단기 프로그램 개발을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 북한이탈주민의 가족관계 실태와 문제점, 개입프로그램 등에 대한 선행연구와 현장전문가들에 대한 면접결과를 기초로 대상의 다양성 고려, 내담자의 현실에 맞춘 단기프로그램, 현장 전문가가 실시할 수 있는 난이도, 대상자의 강점 및 역량강화에 초점 두기 등의 프로그램 구성 원리를 정하였다. 또한 본 프로그램은 가족체계론과 강점 관점에 더하여 해결중심치료 및 이야기치료 이론을 바탕으로 개발되었다. 부부관계 및 부모자녀관계 증진 프로그램과 상담자 매뉴얼 초안을 개발한 후 피드백 수렴을 통한 수정과정을 거쳤다. 수정프로그램으로 상담실무자 45인을 대상으로 한 교육을 실시하고 이후 프로그램에 대한 평가를 실시하여 프로그램을 수정 보완하여 최종 프로그램을 개발하였으며 프로그램의 활용방안에 대해 논하였다. 평가에 참여한 실무자들은 프로그램의 현장적용가능성 및 단기적 효과에 대해 높이 평가하였으나, 북한이탈주민을 프로그램으로 끌어들이는 전략에 있어서는 여전히 개선이 필요하다고 보고 있었다. 프로그램의 효과성 연구가 이루어지지 못한 것은 본 연구의 제한점으로 남는다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop a program for improving family relationships among North Korean refugees. To this end, researchers reviewed previous studies on the problems of their family life, intervention programs, and the voices of field experts through in-depth interviews. The principles of the program were set up, including consideration of the diversity of the subjects, short-term programs tailored to the client’s life style, easy-to-learn level for the field experts to deliver, and focus on the strengths and capacity building of the subjects. This principles fit well with the philosophy and strategies of the post-modern family therapy models. Therefore, this program was developed based on the theory of solution-focused therapy and narrative therapy. After developing a initial program (for couple relations and parent-child relations, each) and counselor manuals, they went through a revision process by collecting feedback from three North Korean refugees and field experts. Then, 44 counselors serving North Korean refugees were trained with the revised program. Afterwards, the program was evaluated by the counselors. The final program was developed by supplementing the contents according to the counselors’ feedback. Participant counselors appreciated the program’s applicability and short-term possible effects, but pointed the need for strategy of bringing North Korean refugees into the program. The effectiveness study of the program is needed in the future.
