세대관계망이 부부간 가사분담과 여가활동 공유에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는, 세대관계망의 구조적 특성이 부부간 가사분담과 여가활동 공유에 미치는 영향에 있어서 출생집단 및 발달단계별 특성과 차이를 관찰하였다. 한국여성정책연구원이 수집한 여성가족패널조사 중 2010년에 수집된 3차 자료와 2018년에 수집된 7차 자료를 사용하였다. 2010년과 2018년에 만 31-57세인 응답자들을, 양 시점 각각 30대와 40대 및 50대로 지칭될 수 있는 연령범주로 구분하였다. 분석방법으로서, 상관분석과 대응표본 t-검증 및 독립표본 t-검증 그리고 다중회귀분석을 활용하였다. 2010년의 30대 여성에게 친정아버지는 가부장적 성역할 기대를 전달함으로써 부부간 여가공유빈도를 낮추는 존재이다. 그러나 2018년의 30대에겐 딸의 가사분담비율을 낮추고 딸내외의 여가공유를 지원하는 친정어머니 그리고 자녀 부부의 여가공유를 지원하는 시어머니가 지닌 영향력이 부각되었다. 젊은 여성은 친정부모와 가까이 살수록, 가사분담비율이 낮고 부부간 여가공유빈도가 높다. 또한 시부모와 가까이 살수록 여성의 가사분담비율이 낮다. 한편 2018년의 30대 연령집단에서 미취학 아동수 및 초중고 자녀수와 여성의 가사분담비율 간 정적 연관성이 관찰되었는데, 이는 2010년의 30대에서 미취학 아동수와 여성의 가사분담비율 간에 나타난 부적 연관성과 대비된다. 또한 2010년의 30대 연령층에서 미취학 아동이 많을수록 부부간 여가공유빈도가 낮은데 반해, 2018년의 30대에서는 부부간 여가공유빈도를 낮추는 존재로서 오히려 초중고 자녀가 두드러지는 것 역시 양 출생집단 간 차이이다.

영문 초록

This study observed how the structural characteristics of intergenerational network are related to couple’s division of domestic labor and sharing of leisure activities, and how they are different among life stages and between two birth cohorts. The Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families was analyzed - focused on the 3rd panel collected in 2010 and the 7th panel collected in 2018. For each data set, the respondents aged between 31 and 57 were selected and sorted into 3 age groups - 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. Correlation analysis, paired t-test, independent sample t-test, and multiple regression analyses were used. In 2010 data set, fathers led young couples to reduce the frequency of sharing leisure activities. However, in 2018 data set, mothers reduced young women’s proportion of domestic labor and increased couples’ sharing of leisure activities. Women living closer to their own parents or to their parents-in-law, undertook less proportion of domestic labor. Those who lived closer to their own parents, enjoyed more sharing of leisure activities. Children under school age increased women’s proportion of domestic labor in 2018 data set. In 2010 data set, however, children under school age rather decreased women’s proportion of domestic labor by increasing husbands’ hours for domestic labor. Children under school age reduced the sharing of couple’s leisure activities in 2010 data set. On the other hand, it was school aged children who reduced the sharing of couple’s leisure activities in 2018 data set.
