후기구조주의 교육과정의 미학: 내러티브 중심 유아교육과정의 비평과 지평 넓히기

국문 초록

본 연구는 교육과정을 논의하는 다양한 시선에서 ‘탈구조주의’관점에 초점을 두고 교육과정을 바라보고자 하였으며, 특히 구조주의 이론의 핵심인 ‘언어의 구조’를 교육과정 분석과 연결시켜 보았 다. 구조주의는 인간의 세계를 구성하는 근원에는 기본적인 구조를 가지고 있는데, 특히 인간의 사고체계를 구성하는 기본구조로 ‘언어’를 지목하여 언어가 어떻게 세계를 구성하고 지배하는지를 분석적으로 다루고 있다. 이러한 점에서 탈구조주의는 현대사회가 가지는 다양한 문제에서 언어가 지배하는 획일적 사고에 문제를 제기함으로써 언어의 해체, 혹은 언어의 재구성을 제안한다. 이러한 탈구조주의 시각을 교육과정에 접목시켜 볼 때 교육과정을 지배하는 언어구조는 더 다양화 되어야 하고, 특히 유아교육에서는 교실과 교육과정의 언어가 더 다채롭고 유연하게 재구성되어야 할 필요를 가지는데, 이러한 문제의 대안으로 부상하는 ‘내러티브 교육과정’을 대안적 방법으로 제시하고자 하였다. 내러티브 교육과정은 교실의 언어를 더욱 유연하게 만들어 줌으로써 유아와 교사들의 사고와 대화, 그리고 관계의 유연화와 질적 향상에 기여할 것으로 제안되고 있다.

영문 초록

his study attempted to view ‘curriculum’ in school from a perspective of ‘post-structuralism’ which particularly focuses on the problem of language structure embedded on the curriculum. Post-structural perspective tries to reveal how the language roles and limits man’s thinking as the one must use language to think and say. As applying this post-structural perspective to school curriculum, it must discuss how linguistic structure in curriculum takes a role in define curriculum. Namely, teachers must take the road of language embedded on curriculum to communicate with the students. Thus this study came into the conclusion that curriculum for students, particularity young children, must de-construct the structure of language and re-structure it into more diverse and delimited, as suggesting ‘narrative’ as a way of alternatives. Narrative curriculum as one of ways that post-structural scholars point out in order to solve the problem of structural authority in curriculum, so it surely make the classroom language more diverse and softened thus the thinking of students and teachers as do.
