국문 초록

이 글은 한국과 중국의 중·고교 역사 교과서에서 드러나고 있는 고대사 및 근대사의 인식 틀을 중심으로 양국의 역사인식의 특징과 문제점을 비롯해서 중·고교 역사학습 과정상의 특징과 문제점, 차이, 개선 방향 등을 상호 비교 분석한 것이다. 한국의 국사 교과서에서는 한민족의 역사적 정체성과 고대사 인식 체계의 명확한 틀을 확립하지 못하고 있는 데에 비해, 중국 교과서에서는 중국(중화) 문명과 중화민족의 정체성을 비롯해서 고대사 전 시기를 관통하는 역사인식의 틀을 명확히 확립하고 있다. 한국의 역사교육은 고·중세사 위주, 암기 위주의 교육에서 멀티미디어 이용 수업과 탐구 수업의 방법으로 개선되고 있다. 이에 비해 중국에서는 암기 위주, 교사 중심의 교육 방법에서 탈피하여 탐구 능력, 비판적인 사유 능력을 개발시키는 방향으로 개선되고 있다.

영문 초록

This Study examines similarities and differences between Chinese and Korean history textbook of secondary education (middle school and high school) representing the historical perspective of ancient and modem history of both nations, and their history curricula. While Korean history textbook lacks of national historical identity of Korea and the correct understanding of Ancient Korean history, Chinese history text book establishes decisive historical perspective of Chinese culture and Chinese national identity throughout ancient Chinese history. In one hand, instead of traditional way of memorizing historical facts and focusing on ancient and medieval history, Korean history education in middle school and high school moves toward utilizing multimedia resources and inquiry learning method. In the other, Chinese history education emphasizes student-centered inquiry learning and their critical thinking ability.
