영문 초록

The relationship with parents has a crucial influence on adolescents’ overall development. Especially, when adolescents go through a time of confusion, the relationship with their parents exerts a critical influence on their development. Based on the developmental features of adolescents and through the examination of the influence of parents’ developmental task and the structural problem adolescents have with their parents, this study illuminated the relationship between the adolescents and the parents. Furthermore, this paper investigated the parents’ role, developmental task, and the conflicts between the adolescents and the parents. Specifically, the analyses for the reasons behind the conflicts between the adolescents and the parents were made according to urbanization, change of family structure, poverty, reinforcement of egalitarianism, generation gap, weakening of parents’ authority and lack of communication.
