중학생의 로봇에 대한 태도： 경기도 중학생을 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 중학교 학생들이 로봇에 대해 어떠한 태도를 가지고 있는지를 알아보고, 이러한 태도 형성에 관련된 변인들을 분석함으로써 로봇과 이 로봇에 관련된 직업에 대해 긍정적 태도를 함양하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 선행연구에서 제시된 로봇에 대한 태도 검사 척도를 사용하여, 단순무선표집된 경기도 소재 중학교 3학년 학생 630명에 대해 조사연구를 진행하였다. 수집된 로봇에 대한 태도 척도 질문지 482부에 대해 기술통계분석을 실시했으며, 변인별로 학생 개인의 로봇에 대한 태도에 차이가 있는지 살펴보기 위하여 독립 표본 t검정을 실시하였다. 이 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 경기도 소재 중학교 3학년 학생의 로봇에 대한 태도 평균은 3.00으로 중간 수준의 태도를 나타냈으며, 하위 요인별 로봇에 대한 태도는 ‘로봇의 이해’ 요인의 평균 점수(M=3.55)가 가장 높게 나타났고, ‘로봇의 흥미’ 요인의 평균 점수(M=2.53)가 다른 하위 요인에 비해 낮게 조사되었다. 둘째, 성별에 따른 로봇에 대한 태도는 남학생의 평균 점수(M=3.16)가 여학생의 평균 점수 (M=2.83)보다 높으며, 남학생의 로봇에 대한 태도가 여학생보다 더 긍정적이다. 셋째, 학교 소재지에 따른 로봇에 대한 태도는 도시지역 학생과 읍⋅면지역 학생의 평균 점수에는 유의미한 차이가 없고, 도시지역과 읍⋅면지역 학생 모두 중간 수준의 태도를 보였다. 넷째, 로봇 장난감, 로봇 관련 실습 및 동아리 활동, 방과후 프로그램 등, 로봇과 관련된 경험이 있는 학생이 그렇지 않은 학생보다 로봇에 대한 태도 평균이 높으며, 학생들의 로봇관련 활동이 로봇에 대한 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 다섯째, 로봇 관련 전문 직업을 희망하는 학생의 로봇에 대한 태도 점수가 그렇지 않은 학생 보다 높으며, 학생들의 로봇 관련 진로 희망이 로봇에 대한 긍정적 태도에 영향을 미치고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for fostering positive minds on robots and occupations related to the robots, by exploring Gyeonggi province middle school students’ attitude towards robots and by analyzing variables related to the formation of this attitude. For the sake of this purpose, an attitude inspection tool obtained in a previous study is used to carry out a research study and 630 persons in middle school third-grade students of Gyeonggi province are randomly sampled. By using results of 482 inspection sheets obtained from the students, descriptive statistical analysis is performed to know how the attitude toward robot in subordinate factors of the attitude inspection sheets is positive. Also, an independent sample t-test is performed to search whether the differences in attitudes of students towards robots in all factors are shown or not. Conclusions of this study are summarized by the followings. 1) It is revealed that the third-grade students in Gyeonggi province middle schools have the positive minds of medium level of 3.0 score. Male students have more positive minds for robots than female students. In order to raise the positive minds in female students, various content is necessary for them. 2) It is required to increase topics or materials on robots in practices, club activities and after-school programs and to induce the students to robot exhibitions and robot-experience programs, because the experience on the robots can give the positive minds to students. 3) The positive minds on robots have an influence on having occupations for robots. Therefore, course education programs including practicing robots, searching occupations with robots are necessary to improve positive minds for robots.
