사회복지학전공 학생의 다문화 가족과 다문화교육에 대한 인식연구

국문 초록

1990년 후반부터 한국사회는 이주노동자, 국제결혼 이민자, 그리고 북한이탈주민, 유학생이 크게 증가하면서 다인종ㆍ다민족사회로 진입하게 되었다. 그리하여 다양성과 차이를 인정해야하는 인식의 문제에 정면으로 마주하게 되면서 통합의 사회를 이룩해야 하는 과제를 안게 되었다. 그러나 오랫동안 한민족의 사상을 계승해 온 우리나라로서는 다문화사회를 받아들이는 것이 결코 쉬운일은 아니다. 특히 다문화사회 정책의 증가로 인한 서비스 제공자 사회복지사는 다문화에 대한 문화적 이해가 중요하다. 이들의 문화적 다양성을 인정하고 공감하여 문제를 해결해 줘야 하는 분야이기 때문이다. 따라서 지금의 예비 사회복지사로 사회복지를 전공하는 학생에게 다양한 관점을 갖게 교육하는 것은 필수적이며, 교육을 통해 학습하고 습득한 폭넓은 인식을 가지고 클라이언트들을 만나게 해야 할 것이다. 그러므로 다문화 인식교육의 중요성은 아무리 강조해도 부족하지 않다. 그러나 현재의 대학교육에서 다문화인식교육은 턱없이 부족한 것이 사실이다. 따라서 본 연구는 사회복지전공 학생들의 다문화인식과 다문화교육의 인식을 조사하여 사회복지전공학과에서의 다문화인식교육의 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.

영문 초록

From the late 1990s, Korean society enters the multi-ethnic and multi-multiracial society by the increase of immigrant workers, immigrants by international marriage, North Korean defectors and international students. Therefore, as we encounter the problem of awareness for recognizing diversity and difference, we are faced to the task of achieving social integration. However, it is not easy for our country to accept multi-cultural society since we have inherited the thoughts of the Korean race for a long time. In particular, because of the increase of the multi-national society policy, a social worker, who is a service provider, has to deal with the cultural understanding of multiple cultures since this is the field that social workers have to acknowledge and sympathize cultural diversity of people and resolve issues. Therefore, it is mandatory for students who are studying social welfare studies and will be social workers to be trained to have diverse viewpoints, and by training, they will have to meet clients having inclusive awareness learned and acquired by training. Thus, the importance of the education of multi-cultural awareness is significant. However, at the moment, it is true that the education of multi-cultural awareness in the college education is vastly insufficient. Therefore, this study is going to look into students studying social welfare studies for their awareness of multi-culture and multi-cultural education and propose directivity of the education of multi-cultural awareness in the department of social welfare studies.
