영문 초록

This study developed a tea culture group counselling program to improve the sociality of elderly people, targeting 15 elderly people aged 65 and over who used a social welfare center located in Busan. The Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed-ranks test was performed in order to verify the effect of the program on the sociality of the elderly people. The result of the sociality scale demonstrated that the elderly participants’ sociality scores were significantly improved after they participated in the tea culture group counselling program (Z=-4.374**, P=.001). The examination of the components of sociality showed that intimac y(Z=-3.556**, P=.003), extensibility (Z=-4.036**, P=.001), reliability (Z=-2.646*, P=.019), cohesiveness (Z=-3.500**, P=.004), and competence (Z=-3.389**, P=.004) were all significant factors, but soundness was not. In conclusion, the tea culture group counselling program has a significantly positive effect on the sociality of elderly people.
