일반고 3학년 진로진학지도에 대한 담임교사와 진로진학상담교사의 직무 요구도와 우선순위 분석

국문 초록

대학은 직업세계로의 이행이라는 진로실행에 결정적 시기이나 전공 불일치의 문제가 여전히 심각하다. 이에 본 연구는 대학진학을 목전에 둔 일반고 3학년 학생들의 진로진학지도에 대해 담임교사와 진로진학상담교사가 갖는 직무별 중요도와 실행도 분석을 바탕으로 요구도와 우선순위를 파악함으로써, 교사 간 합리적인 직무 조정을 통해 진로에 기반을 둔 진학이 이루어지도록 돕는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 결과, 첫째 최우선순위의 진로진학직무는 대학진학과 관련된 것으로 3학년 담임교사와 진로진학상담교사가 공히 동일하게 나타났다. 예를 들어 대입 전반의 흐름 이해, 학생의 진학 희망대학의 모집요강 이해, 학생부 종합전형에 대비한 자기소개서 작성 등이다. 둘째, 학생 맞춤형 진로진학서비스를 제공하는 직무는 담임교사에게 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 학생의 적성과 흥미를 바탕으로 내신 성적, 학교생활기록부 내용, 대학입시의 전형요소를 연계시키고 이에 대한 준비를 지도하는 것이다. 셋째, 대입 전반의 흐름 이해, 자기소개서 작성 요령은 진로진학상담교사의 직무로 나타났다. 학생 개별의 입시 전략과 실행은 담임교사가 담당해야 하지만, 3학년 담임교사 역할을 처음 맡거나 입시 전형 변경 등의 내용이 있다면 진로진학상담교사가 연수를 담당해야 한다고 본 것이다. 자기소개서 구성을 위한 사전 노력과 작성 안내는 진로진학상담교사가, 학급 내 개별학생의 자기소개서 첨삭 지도는 담임교사가 담당하는 것이 적합한 것으로 제시되었다. 마지막으로, 학생부 종합전형 이해 및 면접 대비 요령은 3학년 담임교사와 진로진학상담교사두 집단 모두의 공통 직무로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 일반고 3학년 담임교사와 진로진학상담교사간 진로진학직무의 합리적 조정을 통해 학생의 진로개발에 실효성 있는 지도가 가능함을 시사점으로 제공하는데 그 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate an awareness comparison between 3rd grade homeroom teachers and career teachers in college admission guidance at general high schools. The reasonable adjustments of their duties in college admission guidance were to be set and be aimed at helping students’ career development. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, two groups’ priorities in importance and performances were analyzed. The results through this study are as follows. First, 3rd grade homeroom teachers’ and career teachers’ duties are largely concentrated on the college admission guidance of the students. Three important duties are understanding the overall college admission trends, understanding guidelines for applicants and preparation for a test based on a school report on student’s grades and conduct. Second, it is good for homeroom teachers to guide and help the homeroom students each by each, based on their interest and aptitude, through their school records. Third, it is much better for career teacher to understand the overall college admission trends, and instruct other teachers including 3rd grade homeroom teachers and students. Also, it is still more effective for career teacher’s to instruct their students how to make a letter of self-introduction from 1st grader. Then 3rd grade homeroom teachers would look over students’ letter of self-introduction each by each. Fourth, 3rd grade homeroom teachers and career teachers should focus on the preparation for a test based on a school report on student’s grades and conduct and for interview on college admission. If they are prepared from 1st grader, good results are expected with time. In conclusion, it is significant to provide good services of students’ career developments through the reasonable adjustments of their duties in college admission guidance.
