말더듬인의 유창성을 향상시키기 위한 여러 시도치료법들의 효과 비교 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 말더듬아동집단과 말더듬성인집단에게 말더듬치료 초기단계에 사용하는 여러 가지 시도치료법들(느린 구어, 속삭이는 구어, 리드믹한 구어, 합독, 차폐)의 치료 효과를 비교하는 데 있다. 본 연구는 말더듬아동 10명, 말더듬성인 10명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 시도치료법으로 느린 구어, 속삭이는 구어, 리드믹한 구어, 합독, 차폐를 선정하여 말더듬아동집단과 말더듬성인집단을 대상으로 읽기 과업을 통하여 말더듬 빈도, 구어속도, 수반행동 점수를 비교 분석하였다. 결과는 반복측정이원분산분석과 사후검정을 이용하여 분석하였다. 첫째, 두 집단이 시도치료법에 따라 말더듬 빈도에 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과, 두 집단 모두 리드믹한 구어, 느린 구어, 속삭이는 구어 순으로 말더듬 빈도가 낮게 나타났고, 집단과 치료방법에 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 두 집단이 시도치료법에 따라 구어속도에 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과, 리드믹한 구어, 느린 구어, 차폐 순으로 구어속도가 느리게 나타났고, 집단 및 치료방법에서 모두 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 두 집단이 시도치료법에 따라 수반행동 점수에 차이가 있는지 살펴본 결과, 두 집단 모두 리드믹한 구어, 느린 구어, 속삭이는 구어 순으로 수반행동 점수가 낮게 나타났고, 집단과 치료방법에 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 이 연구를 통하여 임상실제에서 말더듬인을 치료할 때 대상 연령을 고려하여 가장 효과적인 시도치료법들을 사용함으로써 빠른 시일 내에 유창성이 회복되고, 학습한 유창성을 유지하는데 기여할 수 있기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to compare the therapeutic effect of several attempts treatments(slowed speech, whispering, rhythmic speech, choral reading, masking) used in stuttering therapy early stage for children & adults who stutter. This study conducted a survey of 10 children who stutter and 10 adults who stutter. For the attempt therapy method, the slowed speech, the whispering speech, the rhythmic speech, the choral reading, the masking were selected, and compared and analyzed the stuttering frequency, the speech rate and the accompanied behavior score by means of the reading task to the children who stutter and the adults who stutter. The results was analyzed by the repeated-measures two-way ANOVA, the Post-Hoc test and the descriptive statistics. First, in the result of investigating the difference the stuttering frequency by means of the attempt therapy, both groups showed the low stuttering frequency in the order of the rhythmic speech, the slowed speech, the whispering speech and showed the significant difference in the group and the therapy method. Second, in the result of investigating the difference of speech rate by means of the attempt therapy, both groups showed the slow speech rate in the order of the rhythmic speech, the slowed speech, the whispering speech and showed the significant difference in the group and the therapy method. Third, in the result of investigating the difference of the accompanied behavior score, both groups showed the low accompanied behavior score in the order of the rhythmic speech, the slowed speech, the whispering speech and showed the significant difference in the group and the therapy method. This study is expected to contribute to fast fluency recovery and maintaining the learning fluency by means of the most effective attempt therapy methods considering the subject age when the therapy of the stutters is conducted in the clinical reality.
