국문 초록

서예의 필선은 음악적 리듬으로 인하여 생명미를 드러나게 하지만, 서예가들은 한걸음 더 나아가 韻을 중시한다. 韻은 생명의 영원한 리듬이다. 그것은 동양인의 시공관과 매우 밀접한 관련이 있다. 서예는 글자형태를 예술화하여 균형과 질서, 그리고 화해를 포함하며, 자기의 정감을 여백이라는 공간 속에 표현한다. 서예의 예술성은 조형성과 리듬화, 두 가지의 특징이 있다. 조형성은 건축과 조소의 특징과 비슷하며, 리듬화는 음악과 무용의 특징과 유사하다. 서예는 실용적인 문자일 뿐만 아니라 생명이 있는 ‘活物’이다. 문인화의 경우, 몇 번의 붓질로 그었는데 그 여백이라는 공간에는 생기가 가득함을 느낄 수 있다. 그러나 더욱 중요한 문제는 음악적 리듬인 韻을 표현하였는가의 여부에 달려 있다. 서예가들이 우주적 생명의 참모습을 쓰고자하고 韻을 표현하고자하는 것은 ‘活’의 정신을 나타내고자하는 것이다. 이처럼 韻의 추구는 무한을 표현하고자하는 서예가의 뜻이 담겨있다. 그것은 바로 자연생명과 함께 호흡하고자하는 뜻이 담겨있다. ‘遠’의 의식은 바로 리듬이 있는 생명을 표현고자 하는 우주적 공간감이다. 서예가는 이러한 예술행위를 통하여 마음은 무한한 공간 속에 노닐고자 한다. 음악적 리듬이 충만한 서예는 시간으로써 공간을 인도하고, 시공이 합일되고자 한다. 이 정신은 동양예술가들이 누구나가 추구하고자하는 예술의 영혼이 된다. 결국, 자신의 예술이 지극한 경지에 이르고자한다면, 음악적 상태로 나아가야 하며, 한 글자를 쓸 때마다 모두 아름다운 공간의 변화를 창조하여야한다. 붓이 나아감에 따라 글자는 시간화ㆍ리듬화 되어, 마치 사람들로 하여금 공간예술로부터 전해오는 ‘생명의 妙音’을 느낄 수 있게 하여야 한다. 따라서 이러한 필묵의 흔적에서 감상자들은 음악적 리듬과 자신의 마음이 한데 어우러져, 筆歌墨舞의 時空合一的 심미자유를 얻는다.

영문 초록

Pen line of calligraphy is exposed to beauty of life due to musical rhythms, but the artists of the East should take a step further emphasis on 'Rhyme'. 'Rhyme' is the rhythm of eternal life. It has a very close relationship with the Asian perspectives on space and time. Calligraphy includes a balance, order, settlement by making type the characters artistic, expressed his feeling in the space of margins. Artistry of calligraphy has two characteristics with formativeness and rhythmization. Formativeness is similar to the characteristics of the architecture and sculpture, rhythmization is similar to the characteristics of the music and dance. Calligraphy is a practical character, as well as there is life, 'Living thing'. In the case of a painting in the literary artist´s style, painted in a few strokes, there are full of vitality in the space of margin. The crucial issue depends on whether it paints the 'rhyme' of musical rhythm. The calligrapher to write the true facts of things of the life in the universe and want to express ‘rhyme’ is intended to represent the spirit of 'live'. The pursuit of this 'rhyme' is to sprint into space infinitely. That life is just breathing with the natural life and flying and dancing. The consciousness of 'farness' is the outer space that wants to infinitely express life spirit with rhythm. Through calligraphy, the mind seeks to take a stroll in infinite space. The universe which is full of musical rhythms gives guidance into space by time, 'the unity of time and space' is the soul of art that all oriental artists whoever wish to pursue. Therefore, when art attains completeness of artistic achievement, everything moves on to musical state, calligraphy is originally to create all one space whenever it writes one letter. However, as the brush moves forward, the space of one character is able to make people hear 'subtle sound of life’ inherited from space art by becoming time and rhythm. In these line of pen and ink, People blend together the mind and musical rhythm, get aesthetic freedom of ‘Ink pen dance song’ through the unity of time and space.
