장애아동 부모의 낙관성이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애아동 부모의 낙관성, 장애자녀 양육이 가족에게 미친 영향에 대한 긍정적 인식, 대처행동 및 삶의 만족도 간의 관계를 살펴보았다. 학령기 장애아동 부모 692명을 대상으로 낙관성, 장애자녀 양육이 가족에게 미친 영향에 대한 긍정적 인식, 자아 강화적 대처 및 삶의 만족도를 측정하여, 구조방정식 모형으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 낙관성, 장애자녀 양육이 가족에게 미친 영향에 대한 긍정적 인식, 자아 강화적 대처 및 삶의 만족도는 모두 유의미한 정적 상관관계를 보였다. 낙관성과 삶의 만족도와의 관계에서 자아 강화적 대처가 부분 매개효과를 나타냈으며, 장애자녀 양육이 가족에게 미친 영향에 대한 긍정적 인식은 자아 강화적 대처를 통하여 삶의 만족도에 영향을 주는 이중매개효과를 나타냈다. 또한 아버지와 어머니의 집단별로 유의한 차이가 나지 않았으므로, 본 연구에서 제시한 모형은 아버지와 어머니 모두에게 적용될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 장애아동 부모의 삶의 만족도 향상을 위한 부모 상담과 가족지원프로그램에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study seeks to investigate the relationship between optimism of parents of children with disabilities, positive perception of the impact of parenting children with disabilities on the family, coping behavior and life satisfaction. 692 parents of school-age children with disabilities were asked to report optimism, positive perception of the impact of parenting children with disabilities on the family, coping behavior and life satisfaction, and collected data was analyzed with structural equation model analysis. The results of this study are as follows: There was a significant positive relationship for optimism, positive perception of the impact of parenting children with disabilities on the family, self-strengthening coping and life satisfaction. Self-strengthening coping had a partial mediated effect on the relationship between optimism and life satisfaction, and positive perception of the impact of parenting children with disabilities on the family had a double mediated effect on life satisfaction through self-strengthening coping. Also, since there was no significant difference between fathers and mothers, the model suggested in this study can be applied to both fathers and mothers. Based on the results, various parent counselling and family support program were discussed to enhance life satisfaction of parents of children with disabilities.
