고전의 현대적 수용

국문 초록

이 글은 김만덕 콘텐츠 개발과 활성화 사례를 중심으로, 인문학의 콘텐츠화, 특히 고전의 현대적 수용에 대해 살펴본 것이다. 먼저 필자는 콘텐츠(contents)를 '내용물은 내용물이지만, 다양하게 활용 가능한 내용물'로 보았다. 그리고 문화콘텐츠(culture contents)는 콘텐츠를 담는 그릇들이자 다양하게 활용하는 도구로, 예컨대 출판과 만화, 방송, 영화, 애니메이션, 게임, 캐릭터, 공연, 음반, 전시, 축제, 여행, 디지털콘텐츠(데이터베이스, 에듀테인먼트, 인터넷콘텐츠), 모바일 등 각종 대중매체를 말한다고 하였다, 문화콘텐츠는 하나의 소스를 가지고 다양하게 활용해서 고부가가치를 얻는 이른바 '원소스 멀티유즈(One Source Multi-Use)'를 핵심으로 하고 있는데, 그래서 대단히 통합적인 성격을 띠고 있다고 보았다. 한편, 김만덕은 노블리스 오블리주(Noblesse Oblige)를 실천한 조선시대 최초의 여성 사업가이자 자선사업가였다. 하지만 그녀의 존재를 아는 사람은 별로 없었는데, 이에 따라 필자는 그녀를 현대적으로 재조명해서 널리 알리고자 지속적으로 노력해왔다. 우선 필자는 그녀를 본격적으로 연구하면서 신문이나 잡지 등 언론매체를 통해 조금씩 홍보하기 시작했다. 그와 함께 김만덕 콘텐츠 개발과 활성화 방안에 대한 종합적인 계획을 수립하였다. 2005년 봄, 마침내 『꽃으로 피기보다 새가 되어 날아가리』라는 단행본을 출판하게 되었는데, 필자는 그에 머물지 않고 계속해서 드라마나 뮤지컬, 학습만화, 사이버 전시 등 연계사업을 추진하였다. 그중 사이버 전시와 다큐멘터리는 이미 제작되어 나왔고, 드라마와 뮤지컬은 앞으로 제작하기로 계약한 상태이며, 학습만화와 점자도서는 현재 제작 중에 있다. 김만덕 콘텐츠 개발과 활성화 작업은 아직도 현재 진행형이요, 앞으로도 갈 길이 멀기만 하다. 즉 하나의 콘텐츠를 개발하여 널리 활성화하는 데에는 정말 많은 시간과 노력이 필요하다는 것이다.

영문 초록

This paper which is centering around a development project and utilizing of productions of Kim Man-deok' contents, is researching contents of humanities, especially a modern reception of the classics. First af all, the writer of this treatise thinks 'content is a content, however, it can make use of various contents'. Besides, cultural contents are a vessel which contained contents and means which can make use variously. These can include publication, cartoon, broadcasting, film, animation, game, character, performance, disk, exhibition, festival, digital contents(database, edutainment, internet contents), mobile and so on. Cultural contents means that one source make practical application of things and they can make a high-value added. The core is so-called one-source multi-use, so I think that they attribute a great unitive thinking. Meanwhile, Kim Man-deok lived in the Choseon Dynasty. she was a pioneering woman of enterprise and charitable work But few people today know of her existence. For this reason, I have continued my effort to renew discussion of her life through a modem viewpoint, something which I feel must to be given wider publicity. To begin with, I have started to create public interest of Kim Man-deok through the news media. With that, I have devised an all-out plan for a development project and revitalized program of Kim Man-deok' contents. In April 2003, I published a book with the title ; ≪I would like to fly away turned a bird than flowers come out≫. Since then, I continuously have been working on related work like the dramas, musical, educational cartoons, and cyber exhibition etc. Among theses, cyber exhibition and documentary have already appeared and the drama and musical are under contract to be produced. An educational cartoon and a book in braille are also currently in production. The development project and revitalized work of Kim Man-deok' life still in the processing of planning but and I also have a long way to go. That is to say, if we do something in order produce more awareness of Kim Man-deok' life, we should really take a long time and a lot of effort.
