다문화가족 부부의 인구사회학적 특성, 가정내 역할유형 및 젠더의식이 부부갈등에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화가족 부부의 인구사회학적 특성, 가정내 역할유형 및 젠더의식이 부부갈등에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 대구광역시와 경상북도 시ㆍ군에 거주하는 결혼이주여성아내와 한국인 남편을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 기존의 선행연구들이 아내와 남편 각각의 입장에서 부부갈등을 분석한 것과 달리 본 연구에서는 아내와 남편 모두를 대상으로 연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 첫째, 부부갈등에 영향을 미치는 인구사회학적 특성은 결혼이주여성인 아내는 출신국가, 남편은 아내의 출신국가와 결혼지속기간으로 나타나고 있다. 즉, 아내의 경우 출신국가가 중국일 경우 베트남과 필리핀일 경우보다 갈등의 정도가 낮게 나타났다. 다문화가족 부부는 인구사회학적으로 상이한 변인이 부부갈등에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 결혼이주여성인 아내(3.53)의 젠더의식이 남편(3.26)보다 성평등적인 것으로 나타났으나, 부부갈등에는 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 남편의 젠더의식 중 권력구조의식에서 부부갈등에 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 부부갈등에 영향을 미치는 가정내 역할영역은 아내의 경우 시집관계 역할에서 역할기대와 역할수행이 불일치할수록 갈등이 높게 나타났다. 남편의 경우는 친정관계에서 역할기대와 역할수행이 불일치할수록 갈등이 높게 나타났다. 다문화가족 부부 각자는 상이한 요인이 부부갈등에 영향을 미치므로, 다문화가족의 건강한 가정생활을 위해 부부 각자의 특성을 고려한 성평등적인 젠더의식과 가정내 역할태도를 위한 교육과 인식개선을 위한 노력이 요구된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate the marital conflict within multi-cultural families and any other possible differences between immigrant women and korean husbands. Unlike other studies, which usually are focused on the relationship between the family at the micro level, this study focuses on the more broader level of the family system. The subjects in this study were couples from multi-cultural families in the regions of Daegu and Gyeongbuk province. This included 320 wives, 320 husbands. A structured survey was conducted to gather data. The data was analyzed with frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, F-test, and correlation analysis. In order to examine the influencing factors on the conflict within multi-cultural families, multiple regression were employed. Immigrant women's marital conflict were influenced by their country of origin and child-rearing & socialization role. The husbands' marital conflict were influenced by the duration of their marriage and his relationship with the in laws. In conclusion, different factors influenced the conflict within the multi-cultural families. In order to reduce conflict and to improve adaptation within the multi-cultural families, there should be an understanding of the immigrant women's culture and their family system. The establishment of individualized instructional programs that create multiculturalism atmosphere and reestablishment of gender equality role system is recommended. Along with customized study methods, there needs to be a more variety of subjects from various ethnic backgrounds. Finally, the measurement for this study was not customized to the Korean culture, rather it was done through the utilization of foreign study methods. For further study, the measurement should be customized to fit the Korean culture.
