대학수학능력시험에서 문제은행의 구축 및 활용 방안

국문 초록

2008학년도 대입 개선안에서 제시된 주요과제 중 하나는 대학수학능력시험(이하수능) 출제 및 관리를 문제은행식으로 전환한다는 것이다. 이 연구는 수능의 문제은행식 출제를 위한 구체적 모형 개발을 위한 기초 연구로 외국의 사례를 검토하고, 우리나라 수능에 도입할 경우 시사점을 도출하고자 하는 목적으로 진행되었다. 수능 시험은 그 성격 상 예비 검사가 불가능하기 때문에 대부분의 문제 은행에 핵심 내용으로 들어가는 측정학적인 정보는 외국 사례와는 다른 형태를 취할 수밖에 없다. 이 연구를 통해 제안된 정보는 일반적 코드, 검사청사진 코드, 정답율 코드, 문항분석코드, 참조 코드 등을 포함한다. 2008학년도 수능이 문제은행식으로 출제되더라도 시행은 현재와 같이 지필검사 형태로 진행될 것이므로, 컴퓨터 적응 검사의 경우와 같은 문항 선정 방식은 사용되지 않을 것으로 예상된다. 그러나 장기적으로 문항 선제를 위한 컴퓨터 프로그램이 개발되어 전반적인 문제은행식 출제 방식의 장점을 살릴 필요가 있다. 수능을 문제은행식으로 출제할 경우, 가장 중요한 이슈는 보안이 될 것으로 보인다. 장기적으로는 문항 보안이 심각한 문제가 되지 않도록 많은 문항을 문제은행에 등록하는 방안이나 여러 개의 검사를 만들고 이를 동등화하여 사용하는 방안을 검토할 필요가 있다. 그러나 이러한 제안은 현실적으로 단기간에 실현 가능성이 높아 보이지 않고, 따라서 단기적으로는 수능 영향력이 상대적으로 적은 영역(e.g., 제2외국어영역)부터 실험적으로 문제은행식 출제 방식을 적용하는 것이 타당할 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

One of major strategies to improve the Korean Scholastic Achievement Test (KSAT) was proposed to transfer a current item development and management system to item banking system This study was designed to address related issues when implementing the item banking system by studying several cases used in foreign countries. First of all, because the KSAT cannot use information from pretest administrations, very different types of information about items should be used to store items into the item banking system We recommneded general code, test blueprint code, correct response rate code, item analysis code, reference code to carve item characteristics into the item bank. Even though the KSAT of 2008 is administered by utilizing the item banking system, that would be still a paper-and-pencil format. Thus, item selection algorithm, that is one of the most important considerations in the computer adaptive testing, would not be an issue in this case. However, in the long run, it would be good to develop a computer application program of selecting items from a item bank to construct a test (automatic test assembly program). When applying the item banking system in the KSAT, test security would be the most important issue to be addressed. To avoid this problem, it could be recommended to develop bunch of items in the item bank or to develop several test forms by equating techniques. However, these recommendations cannot be fulfilled in a short time period, it could be recommended to use the item banking system from the low-stakes subject areas such as the second languages.
