국문 초록

본 연구는 홍콩의 학교기반 방과후 활동과 지원 프로그램을 소개하고 우리나라에의 시사점을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 홍콩에서의 학교기반 방과후 활동은 홍콩의 초중등 단계의 학교교육의 질을 향상시키기 위한 하나의 방편으로 교육부에 의해 제도화되었다. 학교기반 방과후 활동과 지원 프로그램은 부진아들로 하여금 학습효과성을 개선하고, 교실 밖 학습 경험을 넓히고, 지역사회 의식과 소속감을 증진하도록 다양한 지원과 기회를 제공하는 데에 중점을 두고 있다. 홍콩에서의 Other Learning Experiences (OLE)에는 도덕 및 시민의식 교육, 공동체 의식, 예체능 활동 등을 포함하는 다양한 프로그램들이 있다. 그리고 홍콩의 방과후 활동은 크게 수익자 부담 원칙하에 실시하는 학교 중심으로 하는 방과후 활동과 지역사회에서 하는 방과후 활동이 있는데, 가정 형편이 어려운 학생들을 대상으로 정부 지원금을 통해 지원되는 학교중심 방과후 학습 및 지원 프로그램이 있다. 이러한 홍콩의 학교 기반 방과후 활동과 지원 프로그램은 우리나라의 방과후 활동과 지원에 의미있는 시사점을 제공할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study are to introduce and suggest implications on School-based After-school Activities and Support Programmes in Hong Kong. School-based After-school Activities in Hong Kong is instituted by the Education Bureau of Hong Kong as a means to enhance the quality of schooling at the primary and secondary levels. The focus of the Schoolbased After-school Activities and Support Programmes is to provide more assistance and opportunities for the disadvantaged students to improve their learning effectiveness, broaden their learning experiences outside classroom and raise their understanding of the community and sense of belonging. Other Learning Experiences(OLE) in Hong Kong, there are many programmes including moral and civic education, community services, aesthetic and physical activities. And there are two components under the Programmes, the School-based Grant for schools and the Community-based Projects for Non-governmental Organizations(NGOs) to organize projects based on community needs. Based on introduction of School-based After-school Activities and Support Programmes in Hong Kong, there are several significant implications for us on after-school activities and support in Korea.
