국문 초록

본 논문에서는 이전의 몇몇 연구논문에서 고찰된 바 있는 언어 토대와 문화 역사라는 두 기본적이고 대등적 요소에 따라서 수평적 발전 양상을 보이는 글씨체의 상호적 성격에 대한 논제를 심도 깊게 다루고 있다. 글씨체와 언어 간의 필 연적으로 나타나는 수평적 관계를 설명하기 위해서 몇몇 용어들과 언어 분석의 절차가 서체의 체계적 연구에 도입된 바 있다. 서체에 대한 체계적 연구 및 언어에 대한 체계적 연구 간의 접근 방식은 방법론적으로 언어와 문자 간의 견고한 연결성에 기초하고 있는데 언어학적 분석은 앞에서 언급한 문자의 두 측면인 언어 현상에 의해서 조건화된 내적 구조와 문화 역사에 의해서 조건화된 외적 형태를 밝히는 것이다. 이 두 측면으로 문자를 구분하는 것은 서체연구의 체계적 연구에서 표층구조와 심층구조로서의 기초적인 언어-기호학적인 구분(즉, 소쉬르의 „표현적 측면“과 „내용적 측면“에 의한 구분)이 동시대적 접근 방식의 중요한 요소라는 사실에서 기인한 것이다.

영문 초록

This Paper encompasses a further elaboration of the thesis on the bilateral nature of scripts, the development of which evenly depends on two basic and equal factors – language basis and cultural history, considered in several previous works. Owing to the inevitable parallelism between the script and the language, a series of operating terms and procedures of linguistic analysis have been introduced in the scientific study of writing. The methodological approaching between the scientific study of writing and scientific study of languages is based on a solid connection between the language and script, where the very linguistic analysis revealed the mentioned two-sided nature of the script – the internal structure conditioned by linguistic phenomena and the external form – conditioned by cultural history.
