영문 초록

Korean folk songs related with tea were mainly recorded at the historic place related to tea culture, wild tea growing districts, decayed Buddhist temple area, place where tea plant had been cultivated, and places with tea-related names from 1957 to 1972. Seven songs were recorded in this survey, and the number of songs classified by district was as follows. 1. Three songs were recorded in Kyungnam Province : Two of them from Pyochung temple around in Milyang county; Another a song from Sangwoon temple around in Shicheon myon, Hamyang county. 2. A song was recorded in Kilim temple around of Wirlsung county, Kyungbuk province, and in Pusan city, respectively. 3. In Chunnam province two folk songs were recorded, one was collected in the neighborhood of Wirlam temple in Kangjin county, the other was collected in the neighborhood of blue ceramic pottery in Kohung county. 4. Songs related with tea were easily recorded from old age populaces living in such areas as the area of wild tea plant growing temple, the places having a name related with tea and/or which tea plants had been cultivated. From this survey, the characteristics of folk songs related with tea involve the thoughts of ancester worship, heart with heart, and live free from worldly cares containing the spirit of Korean tea culture and the settlement of human's emotion with a traditional bliss-asking customs. Throughout the survey of tea-related folk song, the data are valuable for studying the tea customs of the populaces in Korea and the cultural history of tea.
