영문 초록

  This article is to examine the periodical characteristics of the hair style according to the historical basis. As we studied in the previous pans in this paper it has been cleared that hair styles are reflected by social and culture environment. It has been found that the most popular hair styles in each period have changed according to social and economic status of women.
  We can also predict that the possibility of success in the hair design depends on the understanding ability of social and culture trends. It is demanded that hair designers must have sensibility about the trends of fashion in the domestic and foreign countries.
  The circulation of culture from one countty to another is much faster than any other periods of history because of the development of transportation and mass media in these days. The most representative case of this is the apro style of the west Africa.
  The various changes in hair style have been affected by the development of chemical products such as perm, coloring and bleach. Nowadays hair designs are not only technical matter but chemical understanding of products and cultural tendency. Therefore scientistic approach in the field of hair styling are needed and hair designers must have knowledge about the chemical treatment.
  In conclusion, the hair design can be harmonized with chemistry, an, and sociology. It appears that there are a great possibilities that hair designs can be developed as a part of science.
