국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 지역사회 기반 주거 자립체험 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 충청북도에 거주하는 성인 발달장애인 105명이며, 4박 5일간의 주거 자립체험 프로그램에 참여하였다. 연구 방법으로는 사전-사후 평가 및 일별 자립생활 활동 기록지, 참여자 면담 등을 통해 자립생활 기술 수행 수준, 지원 요구 정도, 자립에 대한 인식 변화를 측정하였다. 반복측정 분산분석, 대응 표본 t 검증 등을 실시한 결과, 일일 자립생활 활동 목표 달성률이 전반적으로 향상되었으며, 특히 개인 관리 영역에서의 지원 요구 정도가 유의미하게 감소하였다. 참여자의 자립에 대한 인식은 더 구체적이고 현실적인 방향으로 변화되었으며, 이러한 결과는 주거 자립체험 프로그램이 발달장애인의 생활 기술 향상과 심리적 성장에 효과적임을 보여준다, 향후 프로그램의 정례화 및 확대 시행을 위한 정책적 개선과 중장기 방안이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop a community-based residential independence experience program and to verify its effectiveness. The participants were 105 adults with developmental disabilities residing in Chungcheongbuk-do, who took part in a four-night, five-day program. The research employed pre- and post-tests, daily independent living activity logs, and participant interviews to measure changes in independent living skills, levels of support needs, and perceptions of independence. Repeated measures ANOVA and paired t-tests were conducted for data analysis. The results indicated an overall improvement in the achievement rate of daily independent living activity goals, with a significant reduction in support needs, particularly in the area of personal management. Participants’ perceptions of independence also shifted toward more concrete and realistic directions. These findings demonstrate that residential independence programs are effective not only in enhancing daily living skills but also in promoting psychological growth. Furthermore, the study suggests the need for policy improvements and long-term strategies to institutionalize and expand such programs.
