국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 학급 차원의 긍정적 행동 지원(CW-PBS)이 특수학교 중학교의 한 학급의 학생들의 자리이탈 행동과 과제 수행 행동에 미치는 효과를 분석하는 것이었다. 연구대상은 특수학교에 재학하고 있는 발달장애를 가진 중학생 5명으로, 연구방법은 학급 차원의 보편적 중재를 중심으로 하였다. 예방적 차원의 기대행동과 학급 규칙 설정, 좌석 재배치, 시각적 일정 안내와 함께 학급 학생들의 과제 수행 행동을 측정하기 위한 교수적 중재로 시각자료 활용과 개별 과제에 따른 강화물로 토큰 경제를 활용하였다. 연구 설계는 중재 및 중재 철회를 비교하기 위한 ABAB 반전설계를 적용하였고, 관찰 자료는 수업 중 20분 동안 부분간격 기록법으로 수집하였다. 연구 결과, 자리 이탈 행동은 평균 84.29%에서 24.29%로 감소하고, 과제 수행 행동은 32.86%에서 84.29%로 증가하여 PBS 전략의 효과가 입증되었다. 본 연구는 특수학교에서의 학급 단위 PBS 실행이 발달장애 학생의 행동개선과 수업 참여에 긍정적 영향을 준다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study examined the effects of class-wide Positive Behavior Support (PBS) on the out-of-seat and on-task behaviors of middle school students with developmental disabilities in special schools. The participants were five students enrolled in a special education middle school. The intervention included universal classroom strategies such as setting behavioral expectations, establishing rules, rearranging seats, and providing visual schedules. To improve on-task behavior, instructional strategies included the use of visual materials and individualized tasks, with reinforcement delivered through a token economy system. An ABAB reversal design was employed to compare the effects of intervention and withdrawal phases. Data were collected using a partial-interval recording method during 20-minute class sessions. The results showed that the average out-of-seat behavior decreased from 84.29% to 24.29%, while on-task behavior increased from 32.86% to 84.29%, confirming the effectiveness of PBS. These findings highlight the positive impact of classroom-wide PBS on behavioral improvement and classroom participation among middle school students with developmental disabilities in special school settings.
