국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 성인이 생애 전반에서 자기주도적으로 진로를 탐색, 설계 및 관리하는 데 요구되는 진로개발역량을 측정할 수 있는 검사도구를 개발하고 타당화하는 데 있다. 연구 절차는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 선행연구 고찰과 성인 진로교육 목표 체계를 토대로 4개 하위요인(자신과 직업세계 이해, 진로탐색, 진로설계와 준비, 진로관리)을 구인화하고, 하위요인별로 13문항씩 총 52개의 예비문항을 작성하였다. 둘째, 성인 진로교육 및 도구 개발 전문가 13인을 대상으로 2회에 걸쳐 델파이 조사를 실시하여 내용타당도를 검증한 후 최종적으로 34문항을 확정하였다. 셋째, 성인 148명을 대상으로 한 예비조사를 진행하여 탐색적 요인분석을 실시한 결과에 따라 요인부하량과 공통성 기준에 미달한 6개 문항을 제거하였다. 넷째, 성인 490명을 대상으로 본조사를 실시 후 통계적 검증을 통해 최종적으로 ‘자신과 직업세계 이해’ 7문항, ‘진로탐색’ 7문항, ‘진로설계와 준비’ 5문항, ‘진로관리’ 9문항으로, 최종 28문항을 확정하였다. 이 도구는 성인 대상 진로교육‧상담 및 고용지원 현장에서 진로개입 필요 진단, 맞춤형 프로그램 설계, 성과 평가에 활용될 수 있으며, 향후 대상별 규준 설정 및 종단 연구를 통해 적용 범위와 실용성을 확대할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to develop and validate an instrument that measures the career development competency required for adults to explore, plan, and manage their careers autonomously across the life span. The research proceeded through four stages. First, drawing on a literature review and the national framework for adult career education, four latent factors(Understanding of Self and the World of Job, Career Exploration, Career Planning and Preparation, and Career Management) were identified, and 52 preliminary items (13 per factor) were generated. Second, content validity was examined through two rounds of Delphi consultation with 13 experts in adult career education and instrument development, resulting in 34 refined items. Third, a pilot study with 148 adults was conducted; exploratory factor analysis led to the removal of six items that failed to meet criteria for factor loadings and communalities. Fourth, a main survey of 490 adults was administered, and confirmatory analyses confirmed a final scale of 28 items: seven for Understanding of Self and the World of Work, seven for Career Exploration, five for Career Planning and Preparation, and nine for Career Management. The instrument can be used in adult career education, counseling, and employment services to diagnose intervention needs, design tailored programs, and evaluate outcomes. Future research should establish group-specific norms and conduct longitudinal studies to broaden its applicability and practical utility.
