국문 초록

본 연구는 예배의 형태와 운영 방식을 중심으로 나타나는 온라인 교회의 특성과 유형을 분석하고 관련된 주요 실천적 이슈들을 점검하여 그 실천적 이해와 적용을 탐색한다. 연구를 통해 찾은 요점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 온라인 교회의 주요 사례 분석을 통해 ‘현장예배의 유무와 비중’, ‘예배의 온라인 공유 방식’, ‘가상현실 기술의 사용’등을 기준으로 온라인 교회의 형태를 네 가지로 구분하였다. 둘째, 이를 바탕으로 온라인 교회의 효과적인 예배 운영을 돕는 모델을 일반형, 특수형, 확장형의 세 가지로 제시하여 온라인 교회의 유형에 따른 세밀한 이해와 적용을 돕는다. 셋째, 예배 형태와 운영 방식에 관련된 주요 실천적 이슈인 예배 관련 기술의 사용, 윤리적 문제, 선교적 변화의 세 가지 측면을 점검한다. 이에 대해 기술사용과 관련한 핵심은 ‘기술 도입의 목적과 기준 설정’, ‘구성원 간의 상호작용 증진’, ‘디지털 격차 완화’로 나타났다. 윤리적 측면에서는 ‘개인정보와 보안’, ‘예배 콘텐츠의 저작권 문제’, ‘예배 형태별 윤리적 문제’가 주요 과제로 드러났다. 선교적 측면에서는 ‘현장예배 공간의 변화’, ‘온라인 예배의 현장성 강화’, ‘문화적 선포 요소 강화’의 필요성을 주목한다.

영문 초록

This study explores the characteristics and types of online churches by analyzing the forms and operational methods of worship. It also examines key practical issues related to these churches in order to deepen understanding and enhance practical application. The study presents three main findings. First, through case analysis of major online churches, it identifies core elements that distinguish different types of online churches— such as the presence and significance of in-person worship, methods of online worship sharing, and the use of virtual reality technology. Based on these elements, the study categorizes online churches into four types. Second, it proposes three models—general, specialized, and extended—to support the effective operation of worship in online churches. These models aim to facilitate a nuanced understanding and application based on the type of online church. Third, the study examines key practical issues related to worship forms and operations in three areas: the use of worship-related technology, ethical concerns, and missional transformation. Regarding technology, the main issues include setting clear purposes and criteria for adopting technology, promoting interaction among members, and bridging the digital divide. Ethical concerns focus on personal data protection and security, copyright issues related to worship content, and ethical challenges specific to each type of worship. From a missional perspective, the study highlights changes in physical worship spaces, the need to enhance the sense of presence in online worship, and the strengthening of the proclamatory aspect of worship.
