국문 초록

This case report presents the surgical and prosthetic management of a 65-year-old female patient with an untreated cleft palate. The cleft palate repair was performed using the intravelar veloplasty technique. After healing, dental implants were placed, followed by the delivery of a magnet-retained overdenture. Although improvement in speech was limited due to the delayed timing of surgery, functional separation of the oral and nasal cavities was achieved. This case demonstrates that surgical intervention, even at an advanced age, can lead to functional rehabilitation and improve the patient’s quality of life. It also highlights the importance of a carefully planned, multidisciplinary approach remains essential for achieving optimal outcomes in adults.
