In modern society, skin health and appearance management significantly influence not only an individual's confidence but also interpersonal relationships and social activities. In particular, neck wrinkles are a prominent sign of aging, as the neck area is prone to reduced skin elasticity and wrinkle formation. Consequently, various cosmetic techniques have been developed to improve neck wrinkles; however, both invasive and non-invasive procedures have limitations in terms of side effects and the longevity of their effects. This study aims to verify the effectiveness of a non-invasive plasma beauty device in improving neck wrinkles. Plasma treatments were administered to ten women in their 40s at one-week intervals over four weeks. A literature review, preand post-treatment surveys, visual assessments of before-and-after photographs, and expert validity evaluations were conducted to assess the treatment's efficacy from multiple perspectives. The results demonstrated that plasma beauty treatment significantly improved skin elasticity, reduced wrinkle depth, and provided noticeable visual improvement. Expert panel evaluations showed an average accuracy of 92.0% and an inter- rater agreement of 0.72(Fleiss' Kappa), confirming the objectivity of the improvement. Statistical analysis revealed significant post-treatment improvements across all evaluation items, with large effect sizes observed (Cohen’s d = 1.02-1.85). In particular, elasticity perception (Cohen’s d = 1.85), wrinkle depth reduction (Cohen’s d = 1.02), and psychological satisfaction (Cohen’s d = 1.40) showed substantial positive effects. Therefore, this study empirically confirms the effectiveness of plasma beauty devices in improving neck wrinkles and suggests their potential applicability in the beauty industry. Further studies with larger sample sizes and more sophisticated skin analysis techniques are recommended to validate and generalize these findings.
