국문 초록

본 연구는 미술치료가 이혼위기 중년여성의 자아분화와 우울에 어떤 변화를 나타내는지 살피고 그 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 이혼위기의 중년여성 1명을 대상으로 2021년 9월 1일부터 12월 30일까지 1주 2회, 회기당 90분, 총 28회기에 걸쳐 미술치료를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 HTP, KHTP, 자아분화검사, 우울검사를 사전사후 실시하여 결과를 분석, 사례 기술과 질적분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 미술치료가 이혼위기 중년여성의 자아분화와 우울감소에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 참여자는 미술치료를 통해 억압하고 차단시킨 감각과 감정을 열고 자각하면서 우울이 경감되었다. 또한 자기 정체감을 확인하고 개별화되어 이성적이고 주체적인 자아를 갖는 변화를 보였다. 본 연구는 위기상황의 중년여성들의 정신건강 증진에 실질적인 도움을 주었으며, 이혼위기 중년여성이 미술치료를 통해 어떻게 내적 갈등을 조절하여 우울 감소와 자아분화를 이루어 가는지를 살펴보았다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the effects of art therapy on self-differentiation and depression in middle-aged women facing divorce crises, and to validate its efficacy. The study involved one middle-aged woman in a divorce crisis, who underwent art therapy sessions twice a week for 90 minutes each, totaling 28 sessions from September 1 to December 30, 2021. The subject, a middle-aged woman enduring prolonged psychological and emotional distress due to her marriage, participated in a qualitative case study. Data collected included pre- and post-therapy assessments using the HTP, KHTP, self-differentiation assessment, and depression assessment, which were analyzed through case descriptions and qualitative analysis. The findings indicated that art therapy spositively impacted self-differentiation and reduced depression in middle-aged women facing divorce crises. The therapy enabled the subject to express suppressed senses and emotions, leading to alleviation of depression and a confirmation of her rational and autonomous self. This study contributes to the enhancement of mental health in middle-aged women in crisis situations by exploring how art therapy helps regulate internal conflicts, leading to reduced depression and improved self-differentiation.
