현장전문성을 갖춘 교사교육자의 유아음악교육 수업에서 나타난 예비유아교사들의 경험

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 현장전문성을 갖춘 교사교육자의 유아음악교육 수업에서 나타난 예비유아교사들의 경험을 탐색하는데 있다. 연구대상은 S시 소재 C대학교의 유아교육과에 재학 중으로 유아음악교육 수업을 수강하는 예비유아교사 30명이다. 연구 기간은 2023년 8월 31일부터 12월 14일까지 총 15주 동안 이루어졌으며 분석을 위한 자료는 비구조화된 예비유아교사 면담노트, 매주 학습주제에 대한 기대보고서, 성찰보고서(2회/중간고사 기간, 종강 후), 연구자 노트를 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 예비유아교사들의 경험은 ‘음악의 아름다움을 쉽고도 재미있게 느끼기’. ‘노래 부르기 위주의 유아 음악활동에 대한 선입견으로부터 벗어나기’, ‘유아음악교육 실행자로서의 가능성에 대한 기대와 자부심 느끼기’, ‘현장전문성을 갖춘 교사교육자로부터의 배움에 대한 만족감’, ‘타 교과목 수업에도 동일한 경험을 기대하기’로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 유아교사 양성과정에서 현장전문성을 갖춘 교사교육자로부터 현장적용 중심의 이론과 실제에 바탕을 둔 음악수업이 예비유아교사들에게 제공되어야 함을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구결과가 대학에서의 교과목 담당 교수의 배정에서 유아음악교육 수업의 경우, 특히 현장전문성을 갖춘 교사교육자에게 수업을 배정하여 예비유아교사들에게 긍정적인 영향력을 미칠 수 있는 질 높은 수업의 활성화에 기여하는 기초자료로 활용되길 기대해 본다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore prospective early childhood teachers’ experiences in early childhood music education classes taught by teacher educators with field expertise. Thirty prospective early childhood teachers, who were enrolled in the Department of Early Childhood Education at C University in S City and taking early childhood music education classes, participated in the study. The research was conducted over a period of 15 weeks, from August 31, 2023, to December 14, 2023. Data for analysis included unstructured interview notes from the pre-service early childhood teachers, weekly expectations reports on learning topics, and reflection reports. During the examination period and after the end of the semester, the researcher's notes were collected and analyzed. The results of the study, revealed several experiences reported by the prospective early childhood teachers: ‘Feeling the beauty of music in an easy and fun way’, ‘Escaping from preconceptions about children’s music activities centered on singing’, ‘Feeling anticipation and pride in the possibility of being practitioners of early childhood music education’, ‘Satisfaction with learning from a teacher educator with field expertise’, ‘Appreciation for the opportunity to participate in classes in other subjects’, and 'Expecting similar experiences in the future'. The results of this study confirm the necessity of offering music classes based on field application-oriented theory and practice to prospective early childhood teachers during their training.
