영문 초록

Two modes of scoring procedures of the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) Figural Form A were investigated in this study. The earlier or regular version assesses four divergent thinking abilities, namely Figural Originality, Figural Fluency, Figural Flexibility and Elaboration while the latter or streamlined version assesses five divergent thinking abilities, which are Figural Originality, Figural Fluency, Figural Elaboration, Abstractness of Titles and Resistance to Premature Closure. Pearson product-moment correlations of the two set of common scores for both types of scoring, Figural Originality, Figural Elaboration, Figural Creativity and Overall Creativity, were highly significant at p ＜ .05. This shows that the streamlined version assesses these components of creativity as effectively as the regular scoring procedure and is superior in that it assesses other creative strengths as well.
