국문 초록

본 연구는 치료적 건반 훈련 프로그램이 뇌성마비 아동의 손기능과 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 뇌성마비 아동 6명에게 5주 동안 총 16회기의 30분 1:1 건반 훈련 프로그램을 진행하였다. 측정도구는 손기능 변화를 알아보기 위해서 MIDI를 통한 손가락 타력 및 양손 타건 협응력과 Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test를 통한 손의 기민성을, 그리고 자기효능감 척도를 적용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 치료적 건반 훈련 프로그램에 참여한 아동은 우세손의 모든 손가락과 비우세손의 F1, F5의 손가락 타력이 통계적으로 유의미하게 증가하였고, 양손 타건 협응력도 통계적으로 유의미한 향상을 보였다. 또한, 손의 기민성에서도 유의미한 향상을 보였으며, 자기 효능감 점수도 사후에 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상을 보였다. 본 연구결과는 이후 뇌성마비 아동의 신체적, 심리적 재활을 위한 악기를 사용한 재활 프로그램을 개발하고 발전시키기 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the effect of therapeutic keyboard training program on hand function and self-efficacy of children with cerebral palsy(CP). For five weeks, six individuals with CP received a total of sixteen, 30-min 1:1 keyboard sessions, three or four sessions per week, in addition to conventional occupational therapy. Measurement included MIDI data of pressing force of the fingers and keystroke interonset time interval for bimanual coordination, the Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test for hand dexterity, and the Self-Efficacy Scale. All measurements were analyzed to compare pre and post values via the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The therapeutic keyboard performance training program yielded statistically significant improvement in 1) pressing force of F1, F2, F3, F4, and F5 on dominant hands, 2) pressing force of F1 and F5 on nondominant hands, 3) bimanual coordination, 4) manual dexterity relevant to simulated feeding and moving heavy objects tasks on dominant hands, and 5) self-efficacy. The results imply that therapeutic keyboard training program may effectively improve hand function and self-efficacy of children with cerebral palsy. The results of the study are meaningful to provide basic data in developing a therapeutic keyboard training program for physical and psychological rehabilitation for children with cerebral palsy.
