국문 초록

본 연구는 북 아트를 활용한 유아 과학 활동이 유아의 창의성과 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법으로는 서울시 송파구에 있는 S 유치원의 만 4세 유아 40명을 대상으로 진행되었다. 실험집단 20명과 비교집단 20명으로 실험집단은 북 아트를 활용한 유아 과학 활동, 비교집단은 누리과정에 기초한 유아 과학 활동을 진행하였다. 검사도구는 전경원의 ‘유아종합 창의성 검사’와 이경민의 ‘과학적태도검사’를 사용하였다. 본 연구의 실험은 2017년 4월 10일부터 7월 13일까지 12주, 매주 2회 30∼40분씩 총 24회로 진행되었다. 자료의 분석은 SPSS 22.0 Version 프로그램을 이용하였다. 사전검사를 통해 실험집단과 비교집단간의 동질성 분석과 실험집단과 비교집단의 사전, 사후검사를 하였다. 창의성과 과학적 태도의 차이를 검증하기 위해 독립표본 t검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 북 아트를 활용한 유아과학활동은 유아의 창의성에 긍정적인 영향을 미친것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 북 아트를 활용한 유아과학활동은 유아의 과학적 태도에 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 이는 북 아트를 활용한 유아과학활동이 유아의 과학적 개념의 습득에 효과적인 매체로 활용되었으며 창의적 통합 활동이 유아 창의성 발달에 효과가 있음을 의미한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research to investigate the effects of early childhood science activities using book arts on young children’s creativity and scientific attitudes. Forty children of 4-year-old at S kindergarten in Songpa-gu, Seoul, were participated for this study. Participants were divided into two groups, 20 children of the experimental group and 20 children of the control group. Experiments were carried out on the experimental group conducting the early childhood science activities using book arts, while the science activities based on Nuri Curriculum were carried out on the control group. ‘K-CCTYC’ by Chun Kyoungwon for measuring creativity and revised ‘Scientific Attitudes Scale’ were used for the study. Research had conducted by preliminary test, pre-test, main experiment, and post-test in order. During the 12 weeks from April 10th to July 13th, 2017, 24 treatments were made twice a week for 30~40 minutes each time. The statistic soft were SPSS 22.0 program was used to analyze the data. Homogeneity between the experiment group and the comparison group was analyzed by the before test, and pre-post tests were administered to inquire the effects of the early childhood science activities using book arts; also an independent t-test was used to find out differences of the creativity and the scientific attitudes. Results of this study were as follows. First, the early childhood science activities using the book arts had positive influences on young children’s creativity. It was implied that the processes of discovery and experiment in the early childhood science activities as well as the creative integrated activity of the book arts were effective young children’s development of creativity. Second, the early childhood science activities using the book arts had positive impacts on young children’s scientific attitudes. It suggested that the book arts were utilized as the effective media to encourage children’s interests in the scientific activities and to learn scientific concepts.
