국문 초록

본 연구는 기혼여성의 취업이 출산의도에 미치는 영향을 확인함에 있어 교육수준의 조절효과를 확인하여, 여성의 출산의도를 확인하고자 시도하였다. 연구 자료는 ‘한국여성정책연구원의 여성가족패널조사 6차(2016년)’ 데이터를 활용하였으며, 분석대상은 39세 미만의 기혼여성 664명이다. 분석방법으로는 기술통계, 상관관계 분석, 이분형 로지스틱 분석, 조절효과 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 취업여성의 경우 교육수준이 높으면 더 좋은 직장과 높은 직위를 통하여 출산에 정적인 영향을 가질 수 있음을 예측할 수 있었다. 취업여성의 경우 교육수준이 낮으면 불안한 근로환경으로 인하여 출산을 계획을 하기가 어려워지기 때문에 출산의도가 낮아지는 것으로 추론된다. 더하여 기혼여성들의 취업유무에 있어 교육수준이 출산에 영향을 미치는 영향이 다를 수 있다는 점을 확인했다.

영문 초록

This study examines the moderating effect of education level on the relationship between employment and fertility among married women. This research utilized the 6th wave of “Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families”. The subjects were 664 married women under 39 years old. Employment status was used as an independent variable, education level as a moderator, and fertility intention as a dependent variable. To answer the research questions, the study utilized binary logistic analysis, and moderating effect analysis. The results of this study can be summarized as fllows. The moderating effects resulting from employment status and education level had different effects on fertility intention. It is anticipated that a good job and high position in women with higher education level may have a positive effect on fertility intention. However, it is inferred that fertility intention is low in women with low education because it is difficult to plan for childbirth due to unstable working conditions.
