국문 초록

연구목적 본 연구는 한국의 중복장애 성인을 대상으로 디지털 문해력과 평생학습 참여 간의 예측 관계를 실증적으로 탐구하였다. 디지털 문해력을 통합교육 접근을 위한 핵심 역량으로 개념화하고, 현대 교육 불평등의 새로운 메커니즘을 규명하고자 하였다. 연구방법 2021년 광주광역시 장애인 평생학습 실태조사 자료를 활용하여 중복장애 성인 155명의 데이터를 분석하였다. 디지털 문해력은 10개 실용적 기술 문항으로 측정하였으며, UNESCO 분류 기준에 따른 평생학습 참여를 측정하였다. 인구사회학적 및 장애 관련 변인을 통제한 위계적 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 인구사회학적 및 장애 관련 변인을 통제한 후에도 디지털 문해력이 평생학습 참여의 가장 강력한 예측인자로 나타났다. 연령, 교육수준, 소득범주, 장애정도에 따른 디지털 문해력의 유의한 차이가 확인되었다. 특정 디지털 문해력 수준 이상의 참여자들이 그 이하 참여자들에 비해 현저히 높은 평생학습 참여 가능성을 보이는 임계효과가 발견되었다. 연구모델은 우수한 적합도와 상당한 설명력을 나타냈다. 결론 디지털 문해력은 중복장애 성인의 평생학습 참여를 가능하게 하는 기본적 역량으로 기능한다. 디지털역량이 점차 디지털화되는 학습환경에서 교육기회 접근의 핵심 관문 역할을 한다는 것이 확인되었다.

영문 초록

Purpose This study examined the relationship between digital literacy and lifelong learning participation among adults with multiple disabilities in South Korea. Method The present study utilizes secondary data from a 2021 municipal disability survey to assess digital literacy through ten practical skill items. Furthermore, it employs UNESCO’s framework to measure participation in lifelong learning. Hierarchical logistic regression analyses were conducted on data from 155 adults with multiple disabilities, controlling for demographic and disability-related factors. Results Digital literacy emerged as the strongest correlate of learning participation after controlling for demographic and disability factors, with marked disparities by age, education, income, and disability severity. The findings of this study indicated the presence of a clear threshold effect, suggesting that individuals possessing a higher level of digital literacy were significantly more inclined to engage in lifelong learning. Conclusion These findings underscore the notion of digital competence as a fundamental capability and a pivotal gateway to educational opportunity. Furthermore, they illuminate the intersectional nature of digital exclusion within this demographic.
