국문 초록

본 연구는 한국, 호주, 미국의 초등학교 수학 교과서에 포함된 ‘수와 연산’ 영역의 과제를 대상으로, 과제의 비구조성을 비교·분석함으로써 각 나라 교과서에 포함된 과제가 학생들에게 제공하는 수학적 경험의 차이를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 과제의 분석은 비구조성의 세 가지 핵심 요소인 실제성, 복잡성, 개방성을 기준으로 이루어졌다. 분석 결과, 학년별, 차시 유형별, 비구조성 요소별로 세 나라 교과서의 비구조성의 정도와 특징이 다른 양상을 보였다. 본 연구를 통해 수학 과제의 비구조성이 다차원적인 개념임을 확인하였으며, 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 초등 수학 교과서 과제 구성에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study compares and analyzes elementary mathematics textbook tasks in the number and operations strand from South Korea, Australia, and the United States, focusing on the degree of ill-structuredness. The analysis was conducted based on three key elements—authenticity, complexity, and openness. The results showed that the degree and characteristics of ill-structuredness varied across countries depending on grade level, lesson type, and specific elements of ill-structuredness. The findings confirm that ill-structuredness in mathematical tasks is a multidimensional concept, and based on these results, implications for the design of tasks in elementary mathematics textbooks are discussed.
