미중무역분쟁에 따른 한국의 경제안보 공급망 변화에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 미중무역분쟁에 따른 글로벌 무역구조 재편 움직임 속 한국의대미국, 대중국 무역 동향 파악을 목표로 한국의 대미, 대중 수출입 동향 및 상위 수출입 물품의 동향에 관해 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 월별 대미, 대중 무역 동향의 경우 2018년 7월 미중무역분쟁 발발 이후 2024년 12월까지 한국의 전체 수출액 대비 대미 수출액의비중이 증가하고, 대중 수출액의 비중은 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있다. 2019년말 코로나19 발생 이후 대미 수출액 및 대중 수출입액이 증가추세에 들어섰으나2022년 이후 대중 수출입액이 감소추세에 들어서는 것으로 나타났다. 세부 품목별 무역 동향의 경우 대미 수출 품목으로는 자동차, 일반기계 등이 주요 수출품목인 것으로 나타났고, 대미 수입 품목으로는 반도체, 정밀기계 등이 20년간상위품목 안에 들었음을 알 수 있다. 상위 대중 수출 품목으로는 석유화학제품등이, 상위 대중 수입 품목으로는 전자기기 등이 상위품목 내에 들었음을 확인할 수 있다. 시간이 지남에 따라 반도체 관련 물품의 수출입액이 증가함을 통해첨단 공정 공급망 확보의 중요성을 인식할 수 있다. 이처럼 글로벌 무역구조가 재편되고 있는 가운데, 미국 및 중국의 영향이 크게 미치고 있는 한국의 입장에서의 미국과 중국에 대한 무역구조 동향 및 추이에 관해 주목할 필요가 있다고 판단된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to understand the trends of Korea's trade with the US and China amid the restructuring of the global trade structure due to the US-China trade dispute, and analyzes the trends of Korea's exports and imports to the US and China and the trends of top exports and imports. The results of the study are as follows. The trade balance with the US is on a continuous upward trend. The trade volume with China increased by about 8.7 times compared to 2000, but it was found that the trade balance deficit will be shown starting in 2023. In the case of monthly trade trends with the US and China, it can be confirmed that the proportion of Korea's exports to the US increased compared to the total exports from July 2018 to December 2024, while the proportion of exports to China decreased. In terms of trade trends by specific items, automobiles and general machinery were found to be the main export items to the US. Semiconductors have been consistently ranked among the top items for imports to the US for 20 years. Petrochemical products and semiconductors were consistently ranked among the top export items to China, and electronic machinery were consistently ranked among the top import items to China. As the global trade structure is being reorganized, it is necessary to pay attention to the trade structure trends and trends for the US and China from the perspective of Korea, which is greatly influenced by the US and China.
