Purpose: Against the backdrop of the digital wave sweeping the globe, cyberspace has become the core field for the production and consumption of Heroic Images. Driven by the traffic economy, some self-media and businesses have turned heroic deeds into entertainment and commercialization, seriously eroding the public value of cyberspace. Firstly, the symbolization of online social media and short videos has led to the dissemination of heroic images in a “fast food” manner. In order to obtain more economic benefits, self-media ignores the value of the heroic image itself, thereby dissolving the spiritual core of heroic deeds. Secondly, the integration of fan culture and hero entertainment intensifies the phenomenon of hero image consumption. The utilitarian dissemination method leads to the value of heroic images being replaced by people's economic and psychological needs. Thirdly, the emotional values of universal ethical egoism lead to the extinction of heroic values. Ethical egoists have gradually become value guides in online society, causing the public value system to be filled with economic interests and online misconduct. Method: This paper adopts a qualitative research method, including literature review and case analysis. The results of this study should be supplemented by quantitative and qualitative research in the future. A literature review is a comprehensive evaluation of different academic publications in fields such as political and moral philosophy, public administration, and international relations. The case analysis mainly involves examples of countries' cyberspace eroding public value through the consumption of heroic images. Results: This article believes that the government needs to formulate relevant laws and regulations, strengthen moral education, and use AI intelligent supervision measures to solve the problem of consumer Heroic Images and provide solid support for the spiritual civilization construction in the digital age. the government needs to rebuild from multiple dimensions including institutional improvement, technological innovation and cultural cultivation. Conclusion: The consumption of heroic images in cyberspace is not only a product of the conspiracy between capital and technology but also a cultural practice where the public seeks meaning and identity. Only by correctly recognizing and treating heroic figures can we rebuild the public nature of cyberspace and establish the spiritual pillar for national rejuvenation. By standardizing heroic narratives, innovating communication methods, and enhancing legal protection mechanisms, we can gradually overcome the current challenges and fully harness the significant role of heroic spirit in constructing public values in cyberspace. Future research should further examine the impact of new technologies on the dissemination of heroic spirit, explore more effective models for cultivating public values, and foster the healthy and sustainable development of cyberspace.
