국문 초록
In a globalized world, it is necessary to learn real English as it is used within everyday life experience in real settings. In this light, it is significant to explore New Zealand English and Māori English, and the sense of community and values they represent. This study examines the myths and legends of the Maori people, focusing on Maori Tales and Legends, published by Kate McCosh Clark in 1896, It explores the values and meanings of New Zealand culture in English education, contributing to the diversification of English education content. The study of Māori language, mythology, and culture is meaningful, because it recognizes the value of language speakers from different backgrounds and contributes to building a society in which diverse people live together. The study of Māori language, mythology, and culture in the English classroom helps us gain a better understanding of New Zealanders and their way of life.
