부모의 학대경험이 자살생각에 미치는 영향: 인생태도 및 고립감의 이중매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 부모의 학대경험이 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 인생태도 및 고립감이 이중매개효과가 있는지를 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상자는 한국청소년정책연구원의 ‘2023년 아동청소년 인권실태 조사’ 데이터 중 초중고 재학생 8,796명이며 Macro Process for SPSS 프로그램을 활용하여 이중매개효과를 검증하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학대경험과 자살생각 간의 관계에서 인생태도 및 고립감의 매개효과 분석을 실시한 결과, 학대경험은 자살생각에 직접적으로 영향을 미칠 뿐 아니라 인생태도 및 고립감을 통해 간접적으로도 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학대경험이 매개변수인 인생태도와 고립감을 거쳐 종속변수인 자살생각에 미치는 총효과와 직접효과, 간접효과에 대해 알아보았다. 그 결과, 총효과와 직접효과 모두 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학대경험이 자살생각에 미치는 영향 관계에 있어서 인생태도 및 고립감의 간접효과에 대한 유의성을 검증하였다. 그 결과, 학대경험이 인생태도를 거쳐 자살생각에 미치는 매개 경로, 학대경험이 고립감을 거쳐 자살생각에 미치는 매개 경로, 학대경험이 인생태도와 고립감을 거쳐 자살생각에 미치는 매개 경로 모두 간접효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 청소년의 자살생각을 줄이기 위한 방안으로 긍정적 인생태도 함양을 위한 교육 및 개입, 사회적 지지망 구축 및 고립감 감소를 위한 노력, 가정 내 예방적 개입 및 부모 교육의 활성화 등을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to determine whether life position and feelings of isolation have a double mediating effect in the process in which parental abuse experience affects suicidal ideation. The subjects of the study were 8,796 elementary, middle, and high school students from the Korea Youth Policy Institute's '2023 Survey on the Human Rights Status of Children and Adolescents', and the double mediation effect was verified using the Macro Process for SPSS program. The research results are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the mediating effects of life position and feelings of isolation in the relationship between experience of abuse and suicidal ideation, it was found that experience of abuse not only directly affected suicidal ideation, but also indirectly affected suicidal ideation through life position and feelings of isolation. Second, we investigated the total effect, direct effect, and indirect effect of the abuse experience on the dependent variable, suicidal ideation, through the mediating variables, life position and isolation, and the effects of the abuse experience. As a result, both the total effect and the direct effect were found to be statistically significant. Third, the significance of the indirect effects of life position and feelings of isolation in the relationship between abuse experience and suicidal thoughts was verified. As a result, the mediating path from abuse experience to suicidal thoughts through life position, the mediation path from abuse experience to suicidal thoughts through isolation, and the mediation path from abuse experience to suicidal thoughts through life position and isolation were all found to have significant indirect effects. Based on these results, measures to reduce suicidal ideation in adolescents included education and intervention to cultivate a positive life position, efforts to build a social support network and reduce feelings of isolation, preventive intervention at home, and activation of parent education.
