국문 초록

Palliative care is dedicated to alleviating the suffering and improving the quality of life of patients with noncurable diseases. With the increased life expectancy and the expanding older adult population, there is an increasing demand for palliative care among older adults individuals. Providing comprehensive palliative care services for older adults requires integrated care through multidimensional assessments, rendering the use of appropriate patient-reported outcome measures crucial. This paper presents a detailed review of various multidimensional outcome measures for palliative care, with a specific focus on the Integrated Palliative care Outcome Scale (IPOS). The review encompasses an in-depth discussion of individual items, as well as the methods for administering, scoring, interpreting, and implementing the IPOS, aiming to contribute to the ongoing quality improvement of palliative care for older adults.
