국문 초록

연구목적 뇌성/피질시각장애(Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment, 이하 CVI)는 뇌의 시각 정보처리 기능의 어려움으로 인해 독특한 시각적·의사소통적 요구를 나타낸다. 본 연구에서는 CVI 학생을 대상으로 한 보완대체의사소통 접근 및 실제를 분석함으로써 시각 특성을 토대로 AAC 설계 고려사항 및 후속 연구 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구방법 연구자는 주제범위 문헌고찰 방법의 연구 절차와 프로토콜을 사용하여 포함 및 제외 기준에 따라 최종 14편의 선행 연구를 최종 분석 대상으로 선별하였다. 연구결과 이를 AAC 체계 구성요소인 상징, 도구, 기법, 전략에 따라 선행 연구의 결과와 시사점을 제시하였다. 이를 토대로 CVI 학생을 위한 AAC 설계에 필요한 종합적인 고려사항을 도출하였다. 논의 및 결론 CVI 학생의 AAC 접근 및 활용을 위해서는 이들이 가진 시각적 특성을 고려한 AAC설계와 함께 대화 상대방의 의사소통 지원이 중요함을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Purpose Students with Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) have unique challenges in processing visual information. The purpose of this study was to explore the current research trends in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) approaches for students with CVI. Method The researchers conducted a scoping review utilizing a systematic protocol and identified 14 articles meeting the inclusion criteria. The studies were analyzed to examine the key trends and practices related to AAC system components, focusing on visual and sensory information processing. Results The findings highlighted critical considerations for designing AAC systems that accommodate the exceptional visual and sensory characteristics of students with CVI. Strategies for communication partners and educators were additionally identified to enhance interaction and support. Discussion & Conclusions This study confirmed that effective access to and utilization of AAC for students with CVI require not only AAC designs tailored to their specific visual characteristics but also communication support from partners in conversation.
